Fast way to lose 5 lbs?

Im trying to lose 5 lbs asap for bikini season. The thing is that im always hungry! Can anyone suggest a filling 1200-calorie diet, and how long do u think it will take before i lose a few pounds?

hmm well....how fast is fast...(.5 to 2 pounds is considered doctor healthy).??? Eat Fruits/Vegetable lots and lots and a well balanced diet and you have until September ....so good luck!

Technically if you want to lose weight the unhealthy way (i.e. less than 1200 cals a day), you cold lose 5 pounds fairly quickly. This is pretty counter productive however, as you are almost 100% guaranteed of gaining it back quickly.

If you want to do it the healthy way, and keep the weight off...then aim for a 300-500 calorie deficit per day and you will lose approx. 0.5-1.0 lbs per week. Not sure of your stats but this will probably mean eating more than 1200 cals per day.

There is no filling 1200 calorie diet. That is not enough food. Unless you are lying in bed not moving 24 hours a day. Laughing

There is no magic to weight loss. It is a change in your lifestyle and diet. Count calories, eat clean/balanced and exercise. Diets don't work and you end up gaining all or more weight back in the end.

What kind of food are you eating. What is your workout plan? Do you lift weights and do cardio?

How old are you this time?  17 or 30?

It depends on height, weight, age, etc, etc. 1200 is fairly low for calorie expenditure, but if it's all safe for your stats than I would say a lot of water, up it to half your body weight, plus eat as many as fruits and veggies plus lean protein to get your cals in. The weight always comes off for me quickly when I eat like this, plus close to the earth and drink my water and keep my deficit in order. Good Luck

Every once in a while something comes up, like a reunion, where you just want to shed a few pounds fast.  I've had a couple occasions like that and I've had good success with the Celebrity Juice diet.  Basically you go 2 days where you drink this juice drink and don't consume anything else except water.  I'm pretty sure all you lose is water weight, but it's a good quick fix.  I usually am about 5 lbs. lighter and definitely feel skinnier too. It's totally a band-aid solution but it does work in the short term.

 

I just started the same thing. I am 25 and my goal is to loose 5 lbs. The best thing I found to do was add everything up that you eat. An average day of my 1200 cal. diet is a light breakfast (banana), i can of tuna for lunch (Using 1 tbs. lt. mayo, celery, and gr. onion) and some veggies, and for dinner I have a reg. meal but I measure everything I am eating. I snack on fruits and veggies. I add calories as I go throughout the day (try to plan ahead). This way you know what you can cut back on or eat more of. If at the end of the day I have room for a snack, I may eat a 100 cal. snack of some sort. Hope this helps. I never realized portion control until I started counting calories. The first few days might be tough and you may feel hungry, but your body will adjust. Drink a lot of water and get some healthy exercise in.
