What is the fast way to lose 5 lbs in a week.
workout twice a day and don't eat that much (not advocating anorexia here)
also ditch salt and drink lots of water... do lots of yogurt, cottage cheese, fruits and veggies.
:)
I wouldn't recommend trying to lose more than one or 2 pounds in a week. And it's not about doing it fast, it's about doing it right, so that it doesn't just come right back. There's no quick fix, just healthy eating and exercise.
cut off an arm. That should do it.
But seriously....unless you have a significant amount of weight to lose, 5lbs in a week really isn't healthy.
Chop off the top of your head and scoop out your brains.
that would be more like 8lbs.... cuz after scooping out the brains, ya really cant put the head back on (wink wink)
Woo hoo - 8 lbs! Even better!!
Sunday: step on scale wearing snow boots, winter jacket, and maybe carrying the sunday newspaper.
Saturday: step on scale naked.
Results: <5 pound weight loss in 7 days...the easy way!![]()
Don't laugh too hard...you know you're guilty of this at least once...lol.
You're not going to find anyone here who recommends, or should be recommending, that you even try to lose that much weight in a week.
- shave all of the hair off your body
- pick out all boogers
- masturbate to get rid of sexual fluids
A juice fast-with fresh juice made from a juicer. 2-3 Carrots, 1-2 apples, 1 celery. Drink as much as you want but no food for 1-5 days. Water weight will fly off and there is your 5 lbs. It's good to cleanse the body occasionally with nutritious juice
I have to admit. I did get a good laugh. But on a serious note, the reason that i have to try and lose 5 lbs in a week is because we have this biggest loser thing at work and the last weigh in is next Wednesday. This one girl is beating me by 2.8 lbs. So i really need to win. The jackpot is $500 and i could use the money for my sons birthday that's in 3 weeks. If anyone has any real suggestions please reply. I'm willing to go hard core this week no matter what it takes.
Keep your salt intake to a minimum during the last 3 days and drink tons of water. The day before the weigh in, eat small amounts of calorie dense foods instead of pounds of veggies and continue drinking water. The day of the weigh in, don't eat or drink until you step on the scale and make sure you use the bathroom beforehand.
Of course.. if she well and truly beat you, then she beat you. There's only so much you can "cheat".
You probably won't lose 5 pounds of fat in a week, especially if you've already been dieting.

Water weight will fly off and there is your 5 lbs If you want to lose water weight there are other ways to do it faster and easier (i.e. plastic suits). It's good to cleanse the body occasionally with nutritious juice That's false! show me one ligitimate source that backs up that claim.
If you need to lose weight (note: lose weight, not fat) quickly your best bet is to sweat it out. Either buy a plastic suit (you can get them at most sporting goods stores for $10-15), or put on a couple of sweatshirts/pairs of sweatpants and ride an exercise bike for an hour or so. Then don't drink anything before your weigh-in. Also note, it won't do you any good to try to start sweating out weight far in advance of your weigh-in. If you weigh-in in the morning try it the night before, if it's after work try it over your lunch-hour. Also note, once you re-hydrate yourself the weight will be right back on.
Also, I have another situation that is probably not going to help. I should be getting the menstrual some time next week. Anything to stop the bloat and water retention?
Even if you do manage to lose 5lbs, it is probably just water weight and not the actual fat
It's not really about the fat at this time. I'm in a time crunch and trying to lose so that i can win this challenge. I'm really competitive and was winning the whole time without any weight gain by watching what i was eating and working out twice a week. I did the right thing this whole time. But then the girl decides to go and take Phentermine and lost 10 lbs in about a week. So now i'm down to 2nd place.
It's easy enough to say "I'll only do a juice fast / water weight loss diet" this one time, but be careful about it turning into a habit. If any of the offered suggestions work, don't fall into the trap of thinking that any of them would be healthy long term.
That being said, it's also not a really good idea to treat losing weight as a competition in the first place - personally, I don't like things like "biggest loser" contests - it puts the focus the scale number, instead of where it belongs: improving your overall health (which is a process, not a one time weigh in event). Even if that other person does "win", because you've been doing it very reasonably, you're healthier. Who's really the "winner" there?
As for the $500 for your son's birthday: How old is your son and what kind of party are you throwing that would require an extra $500? Just curious...

I'm with jensolo. We have to remember that we did not put this extra weight on in a day or even a week. We put it on progessively and that is the best way to get it to stay off. In the long run you will be the winner!!!
Although I have done tons of research, I don't have time to back up my claims lol, as I am getting ready for a trip, but I will tell you it works for me and I feel like a new person after drinking fresh squeezed juice-carrot/apple/lemon/celery/lettuce-whate ver you want, from my juicer. Tons of energy, better mood, shinier hair, longer nails, clear complexion and rosy cheeks. Never mind the 5 lbs of water weight I lose, my body looks amazing after a cleanse. Hey if that isn't proof than I don't know what is! ![]()
