I am anxiously awaiting a response too, milazer!!  My arms are huge!!

Of course, I'm 5'7" and 189 lbs...so you are definitely ahead of me in the game!
I'm 5'9", and 167 (today), and had to ask someone yesterday if my sleeveless shirt lookd okay... I've got horrible arms too. I am doing exercises to tone them. But last time I worked out lots, joined a gym and everything, I didn't lose weight or inches, just made everything more solid. I'm hoping this time by doing these few exercises I can firm them up and tone them up. I found "bent over dumbell tricep kick backs" (description below), dumbell curls, and lifting the dumbells from above my shoulder straight up seems to work the best.

Bent over dumbell tricep kick backs
Bend at the waist to 90 degrees while maintaining a gentle curve in your lower back. Bring you upper arm to back so that it is parallel with the ground. Now straighten the elbow so that at the end position your whole arm is parallel to the ground. The other arm should be supporting you by leaning on a bench or something.
milazer-

You are a buck twenty four and my height.  There is no way your arms are THAT big.  Also, were you ever a swimmer?  I have read that women that swam through their developmental years have a  greater capacity for upper body strength.  Thanks mom and dad...sheesh.

Sister, don't be afraid to go to the gym and show those boys how jacked you are!  You'd be amazed how much of a turn-on a strong girl can be :-)
My sister is 5'2" and 118lbs with 19% body fat and has horrible arms.  They are so fat and chunder-y.  So sad.....  Anyways,,,she did all over weight training and intense cardio for six months and they finally slimmed down a bit.
I don't mean to be mean and all.....but you are the weight and height I want to be at the end of this weight loss journey! Embrace your beauty!! Stop focusing at the negative.......you are obviously a beautiful person!! Please, recognize this and you will go very very far in your life!! I'm sorry if I sounded harsh!
Unfortunately, sometimes that's just genetics for ya :)

My mother (who keeps herself very tiny...5 lbs under my goal weight, and 4 inches taller than me!) said when she was younger (and chubbier) she gained lots of fat on her upper body (shoulders and arms)....now I understand why my stomach is smallr than many girls but my arms are way bigger!

Just build up some good solid muscle.  It will show through the fat, and people will know the size is due mostly to muscle :P
If you want to tone your arms, Yoga and such is fairly good method. You dont need to join a gym or buy any major equipment either. Just buy a DVD, or record/dvr an episode of a yoga show on tv.

Yoga uses mostly stretches, and is really good for toning, but not gaining a lot of muscle.

I have a more defined waist and arms now thanks to Yoga and actually gained muscle in my thighs. And in the school year I only did it an hour 2 days a week, and now I just do it 10-30 mins a day depending on how much time I have.
if my stupid arms and knees were a bit more feminine, I would keep my potbelly. I know how you feel! I just can't find a way to only lose the extra armage without the muscle becoming more manly again! I think I'm going to start doing yoga again like clockstruck says. Good luck to you! I know I'm not full of any answers but I feel for you... I hope there's something that works for us!
