Yes, yes, yes! After having my first child, my body shape did a 180. I can't pinpoint exactly how it changed but clothes didn't fit me the same way they did before I was pregnant. My midsection seemed to get thicker but my hips were almost non-existent. The size pant that fits my hips is 2 sizes smaller than the size that fits my waist (at least, what is considered a waist these days..much lower than the natural waist).

I've never really worked on toning my body so I'm not sure what to recommend for back and shoulder toning. Here is something I found when searching "back and shoulder toning exercises":

my body is so different now.  it's so strange.  my waist is still a waist.  i'll give it that.  My abs are solid still but the actual "pack" sticks out and there's a layer of fat on it.    My butt is huge but much higher then ever before.  I don't have upper back fat, but side fat that kinda reaches down.  my boobs are AWFUL.  i hate them!!  i find myself putting a bra on every waking moment so I don't have to look at them :(

i'm doing a lot of cardio work w/ limited carbs-  they have to be whol carbs.  And, free weights, pushups, and pilate DVD's.

my face is still thin which is good.  I gave birth to the two other chins that I grew when pregnant LOL.

and last but not least....my HAIR.  it's everywhere.  it falls out all over the place and comes out in clumps in the shower.

but hey!!!  I still have a waist!!  LOL

I have the fat on my back too.  I have only gained 23.5 pounds so far with this pregnancy and I am due in two weeks...but I have noticed that right under where your bra goes....I have like love handles.  It is yucky looking. If you figure something out please let me know! :) lol

I totally have muffin-top when trying to wear some non-maternity pants (I made it into a size 4 skirt last night!). I, too, hate my boobs. I've always had big boobs and they got even bigger each pregnancy before deflating to a limp, saggy version of their former selves once I stopped breastfeeding. If only they could be as perky and firm as they are when I miss a breastfeeding session all the time! I guess that's probably enough about my boobs!

Ah, what we go through for our children.

all hail the muffin top......or body shapers just to help control it from going "overboard"

Tongue out
