fat/carbs get distributed differently?
So today I was working out with a friend. I love working out, its the best part of my day. The one part of my body that never seems to change is my "love handles."
I've got upper abs toned, toned legs, toned arms and big muffin top. weird.
Anyways, I made a little comment about how I basically am happy with my body except this area and he said, "oh just cut carbs and those will go away. Carbs go straight to the lower back area."
is this true? Do certain nutrients go to certain places? If i need to cut carbs to get a slim waste I'll do it in a heart beat.
No.
Basically no. The difference in distribution of fat is more of a genetic thing. It doesn't really make sense to me that eating less carbs would take away fat from a specific area on your body.
ok this is just a theory about this, and only a theory. the middle area is for storing short term easily expendable fat( and easily storable fat). so maybe the easily stored and burned carbs are converted to fat quickly, and stored in the "quick burned area" because of how fast they are matablised.
(this is probably so wrong that it's laughable)
GI jane that was a great post.
Maybe you should use one of those old fashioned sweat belts like the kind you would see people use in silent movies! ;-)
I heard that too, I dont know if its true though. People say not, but they it could be worth a try though?
