Are there any fat chicks out there who think they're Hot?

I know I do:) I hope no one takes offense to the term "fat chick", but anywho... I've been heavy my entire life, got teased as a kid, the whole 9. But somehow, I never let that effect the way I saw myself. Since i was a teenager, i always thought I looked pretty good, despite being bigger than the other girls. I Loved buying clothes, and wearing makeup, getting my hair done, etc. and you couldnt tell me I didnt look good! Now of course, I've always realized that there were many out there who would not appreciate my beauty, but oh well, i just tried to tune them out. I'm writing this because I am so sick of reading posts where people think they're hideous just because they're fat, or their life is miserable and they cant breath again (like that old Toni Braxton song) until they loose like 50lbs. It almost makes me feel like- if you're hideous at 160- I should kill myself! Now dont get me wrong, i realize that weight loss is important for health, and will make most people look better- its just that in the meantime, I think we should appreciate ourselves more. Know that you ARE FABULOUS NOW- and will be even more so when u trim down a bit. Vanity should not be for thin folks only.  Oh well- this is just my rant for tonite. If you're big and sexy- Holler back!

i was just talking to my friend last night about how happy i am that i fully love myself RIGHT NOW, when i'm not at my physical peak, because it would suck to work so hard and lose so much weight and still not be happy with myself.

in fact... when i get to my goal weight, i think the biggest challenge for me will be keeping my clothes on... lol ;)

i'm happy to see that there are others who realize their total hotness and aren't ridiculously modest about it!

Ladies- i'm the most non-Pc person u may ever meet. I dont think i can be offended- although I know some folks are hypersensitve about racial issues. I agree with you both Alwaz and Thin. I sometimes feel lucky for that reason, but life has not been 100% easy. I was was teased in school for being fat-My family pressured me to loose weight, I feel like thin Black women look down their nose at me. that's why Monique- a plus sized AA comedian wrote a book called"Skinny women are evil"- i never read it, but can understand the sentiment. Also Black men are not falling all over me- they usually might say or think- not bad for a fat chick. I think many black men prefer women to be fuller figured- like a size 12-16, but not "fat". Of all the guys I've dated ( and there havent been that many, only 1 actually preferred plus sized women, the others liked me inspite of me being bigger than what they'd normally go for. those guys would be constantly trying to convince me to loose weight- so I'd be the perfect speciman of black womanhood- full busted, full hipped, and thin waisted.

I'm lucky that I have always viewed myself to be hot, what ever size. The biggest sex organ is the brain........... my partner also is concerned that I'm gonna lose too much arse and boobs....lol

I really admire your confidence. I envy you. I'm currently struggling with an eating disorder and I'm trying to see myself as beautiful no matter what my size is (although currently I'm underweight, I don't feel like I am). I found this post inspiring :)

I personally am not a what u call Fat chick lol but i know of some that love the way they look. Celebrities do too! You all know who Mia Tyler is? She is absolutely stunningly gorgous and she's plus size. I should post some pictures of her cuz when she was on celebrity fit club she sounded very confident in her self.

I think anyone who bothers to take the time to take care of themself will always look nice!!!!

bgc, I'm glad you posted this, and yes, and I don't even dress up to feel that way! I think I move well (even if occasionally into something), I feel strong (even though I can't turn the nut on the bike seat at all), and men definitely like me (though not necessarily the way I like them).

I read a lot of posts about negative body images; I think I have a positive one though I'm overweight. I often can't quite believe I weigh what I do, and I sure as heck don't feel bad about it! My knees do, however, and eventually, I think my heart would, too, so on to a healthier me!

I used to! when i was in the 180s I turned alot of heads, so even though I didnt really think I was hot, men's actions told me other wise.  Now I've gone from 245 to 235 and I'm not turning heads anymore but that's just fine with me because fat or not I AM ME : )

I'M HOT! I have cleavage to die for! I mean, losing weight to me is showing that I am disciplined and healthy. I want to be on the tip top of my game when I'm too old to stroll! So, burn on baby, burn on!

bgc- sprinkle some of that confidence on me! haha I've been overweight for a while now and while I don't think I'm necessarily ugly, I find myself very unattractive. *shrug* I guess I've just had it drilled into my head that thin= beautiful. I do spend a lot of time taking care of myself though because I figure if I'm gonna be fat I might as well present myself well. I never leave the house with makeup, my hair done and dressed decently.

I don't know if this makes sense, but I've always wished I could be one of those girls that looks good bigger.  Some women just look great with more weight.  I just don't have that body though.  When I gain weight, I actually do look horrible.  I've always been envious of women that the extra weight just look right on them.
