Your 'fat days meal'

Quote  |  Reply
I remember when I was horribly overweight and ate horribly...my staple dinner was burger king. I just punched in the nutrition facts on that meal, and YOWZA.

1 whopper with cheese, one large onion rings, and one large strawberry shake =

2130 calories!!!!!

Holy jesus!!!!! no wonder I was so fat.

What kind of meal did you guys eat when you were living unhealthily? If you can, find the nutrition info online and gasp at how shocking it is. :) Then post it on here!

i realize metabolisms for children are completely different, but holy wow! When i was young i could pack down two to three whoppers, large fries, and a shake, no problem. the amazing part is i was never overweight! man, i want the metabolism of my childhood back.

i used to eat 18 oz reeses peanut butter cup blizzards at dairy queen about 3 times a week.

that's around 1130 calories and 45g of fat. ouch.

and i'd get extra large french vanilla cappicinos at tim hortons almost everyday, that's over 700 calories.

i used to (and still) LOVE tortellini with creamy mushroom sauce and lots of cheese ... needless to say that has pretty much been cut out of my diet and when i do have it as a treat, i can barely eat one plate of it.

After school (I would rarely eat breakfast or lunch, except maybe for a candy bar and a bag of chips from a vending machine) my mom would sometimes stop at Whataburger and I'd get a cheeseburger plain and dry with Whata-sized fries and a Whata-sized chocolate shake. I'd wolf it all down on the ride home (about five minutes from the Whataburger.) Then get a stomach ache. A few hours later I'd eat dinner.

When my grandmother would make tortillas I used to eat from 4 to 6, all slathered with I Can't Believe it's Not Butter and washed down with a Pepsi.

Don't even want to think about how many calories that was. :)

I used to eat at a local Mexican joint. I'd get the chimichanga platter which was seriously about 5 lbs of rice, beans, cheese and fried everything. No way of knowing how many calories is in that but let's just say it puts your Burger King meal to shame!

And considering I gained most of my weight when I was pregnant, I'll add here my biggest downfall while preggo- the McDonald's chocolate shake! The largest size (which I'd always get) is a whopping 1160 calories.  For a drink!!!

Scary (and gross) stuff right? I used to pack down two or three of those all the time too. I haven't had fast food for months, don't miss it at all either.
I refuse to waste my high calorie meals on fast food anymore.  I just can't bring myself to do it!!  I used to think I would crave it, but I'm very "whatever" when someone else is eating it in my presence.  I much rather get a high quality restaurant Angus burger with fresh bacon and homemade fries than a fast food meal now! :)  The way I see it, if I'm going out, I'm going out with a bang :)

Though usually when my calories skyrocket, it's because of buffalo wings or an alcohol binge, lol.  Usually triggered by Islanders games!
See, I was never "fat", but I was shocked at how much junk I was actually eating (and shocked that I still weighed an average weight...guess that's teenage metabolism for you).

There were days when I'd get up and eat 3 peanut butter cups for breakfast. I'd almost always have two candy bars a day. I'd say a typical day went like this:

Breakfast: Mug of hot chocolate with marshmallows (to take to school), double chocolate muffin and 2 cups of milk (2%)

Lunch: Chicken sandwich or pizza (school cafeteria food) or fast food if we went out for lunch

After School Snack: leftovers from the night before (and a full portion of it). So that means pasta, chinese food, curry, whatever. Sometimes we'd go to Starbucks after school, and I'd always get a strawberries and cream with whipped cream on top

Dinner: massive portions of rice, though usually topped with something healthy like homemade curry

Dessert: almost always had some ice cream or chocolate

Jeez...

i used to eat Whole Boxes of Make and Cheese for Snacks lol the real butter and full fat milk.. man i was a fatty

please tell me iam not the only one

and i used to eat TONS AND TONS of left overs
sometimes I think back and it's hard for me to imagine what I could've eaten to gain so much weight, but even if I didn't eat breakfast or lunch, those certain meals REALLY add up! My favorite fast-food meal, which I'd probably get at least once a week: A Bacon Ultimate Cheeseburger (1090 calories, 77 grams of fat), a side of fried (410 calories, 20 grams of fat.. we all know how bad those are already!) and a large coke (around 200 calories and a ton of sugar). Oh, and I was pretty fond of Strawberry Cheesecake Blizzards (510 calories, 21 grams of fat.. 13 of those saturated). And sometimes I'd pick up a whole bag of Riesen that I'd polish off in like a day (around 850 calories?). The one thing that I'd forgotten about that I can probably attribute A LOT of my weight gain to are tortillas :/ REAL ones. I love the things, but 200 calories for one--and I'd sometimes use up to four a meal! ick. I guess it's no wonder ><
3 or 4 cheeseburgers from mcd's, a huge m&m mcflurry and fries.
in one sitting for dinner,
after half a family sized box of cereal or bag of chips.
plus lunch and dont forget after school snacks!
i loved krispy kremes too. =(
looking back, at least we can all say we know better now.
even if we found out a little late..
well this wasnt back in the day or anything unless you consider that last weekend  but i guess you can say i have fat days on saturdays i eat mms chips and i always go out to eat which im sure adds up to 2500+

I ate out all the time with my boyfriend (now husband). We would order pizza late at night and I could easily 1/2 of one myself. We also would get cinna stix. I don't need to look up how many calories that has...I know its embarrassingly high. Also I could easily stand by the refridgerator and eat 1/4 carton all by myself without feeling full.

I have had to cut something out completely from my diet...foods I know I will binge on. I haven't eaten a take -out pizza (sometimes I make a thin frozen one) since July because I know one piece is NEVER enough.

sarjane,

totally know what  you mean i can eat almost a large pan pizza from pizza hut all by myself not to mention the hot cheetos i always eat afterwards .... i have to stop .... but cant .... i love it too much
I never had "childhood metabolism"... as active as I was, I was fat from eating mostly Miniwheats and salad. I'm a teen now and I am gaining rapidly at 1500 cals a day. I'm being tested for thyroid problems soon *sighs*
Chicken wings...ah...so good.  That was one of my fav meals.
my mom would by long bakery bread and I would eat two a day...one for breakfast and one for before bedtime snack. For dinner I'd have 3 cups of rice and chicken. If there was ever icecream in the house..forget about it, half the box would be gone in one day.
When I was super unhealthy I would eat a can of spagetios as a SNACK... and don't forget the 1/4 gallon of SF ice cream in one sitting... Oh, and I really liked spicey chicken sandwiches and french fries from any fast food resturant. My mom makes this killer SF cheese cake, too... mmmm fatty good ness! That wouldn't have been too bad if I didn't eat such a huge chunk of it. I also really like blue cheese and wheat thins. I would eat 1/2 a wedge of roqfort in one sitting. Oh, and then there is my moms evil spaghetti sauce. She makes a huge crockpot full of ragu, pork shoulder, meatballs and hot italian sausage. It would probably kill a heart patient.  We used to eat at her house alot, when we were poor. mmm, some of it (like the blue cheese) I miss a whole lot, but some of it was just plain silliness. Like the sugar free ice cream. If I want ice cream now, I get a tiny portion of the really good stuff at a local dairy farm. Maybe once a month. way less calories and much more of a treat. As a diabetic my old approach was to over eat SF products. Now I moderate portions of everything I eat, and have a sugary treat on the rare occasion. It is working better, seeing as my blood sugar levels are down and I have lost 48 pounds...

My flatmate and I used to get a friday night takeaway:

Mixed started bag of mini springrolls, prawn toast, ribs, chicken balls then crispy beef, special fried rice, chicken in garlic sauce, duck in plum sauce and at least one other dish. Then ice cream, or trifle. I don't think I could physically get it in anymore!

Then we had nights when we'd watch movies and just pick through doritos, dips (usually creamy ones), cocktail sausages, bread sticks, and similar bad things all night usually ending up on a big bar of Galaxy or Dream. Oh, and some cucumber sticks too of course! I don't want to know how much that little pile added up to.

When I was really little, my Mom used to make a tin of Pillsbury cinnamon rolls with frosting every Sunday morning for breakfast (well, sometimes she'd do pancakes or waffles and I'd eat at least 8 or ten of them with syrup and butter or whipped cream). I would absolutely scarf down half the tin of cinnamon rolls and my brother would have the other half... so that would be about 650 calories for breakfast plus milk and juice. Sometimes I'd have toast with butter and peanut butter spread on them at the same time, or peanut butter and molasseses! All the saturated fats I was consuming... ughh. And then I'd have mac and cheese for lunch and pizza for dinner and peanutbutter and jelly sandwiches and cookies for snacks... oh god all the calories! No wonder I was a fat kid and a fat teen.
