Does fat-free cheddar cheese make good quesedillas?
Or atleast okay tasting ones? Obviously, it won't taste as good as the real thing, but when it comes to a quesedilla do you think I would get a little taste if i made one with fat-free shredded cheddar cheese?

I think so, especially if you eat it right away. Fat free cheese melts really well initially. I have used in quesadillas, breakfast burritos, etc, and it tastes great as long as it's hot. If you let it sit, though, the cheese hardens and gets kind of gross.
Okay, umm, this sounds stupid, but how do you cook a quesedilla? I mean for like how long? I'm knew to this cooking thing, my mom usually cooks for me, but now I am doing more cooking myself.
you can cook a quesedilla lots of ways...if you're doing it back microwave just watch until the cheese starts to melt ...it shouldnt' take more than a few minutes
thats basically it with anything top of the stove, grill, oven...just watch for melting cheese!

I use fat free cheese to make quesidillas, btu the problem is I eat super-slow so my cheese ALWAYS hardens. Fat-free cheese tends to do so very quickly. Your best bet is to go with fat-free kraft singles, they melt better than shredded, and stay soft a bit longer. Good luck!
If you can make a grilled cheese, you can make a quesadilla. Same temp, same duration. Only, instead of buttering the tortilla, spray your pan with Pam. To turn it and cook the other side, place a plate over the quesadilla in the pan; turn the pan over, so the quesadilla falls on the plate; slide the quesadilla back into the pan.
I actually like to get my grilled sandwich maker and put them on low so I let the cheese melt without burning the bread! They key to a great tasting sandwich (especially when using fat free cheeses, and low carb breads is to use LOW HEAT for a longer time and then eat it right away!)
I have tried fat free american and fat free cheddar and they are both good. I might add some tomato slices to my grilled cheese next time.
Also, fat free mozarella is suppose to be okay since its mild flavor.
