I went to Eckerds today, and the cans of Pringles were buy one get one free... I couldn't resist trying!
I got the BBQ and Original, both in fat free. They're not an everyday thing, but for potato chips they're not too bad, although they do have a pretty foreign sounding ingredient list.
But check 'em out
BBQ/Original (it's the same):
Calories: 70
Total Fat: 0g
Cholestorol: 0g
Sodium: 150mg
Carbs: 15g
Fiber: 1g
Sugar 1g
Protein 1g
Viatim C: 10%
The serving size is 14 chips for BBQ, and 15 for Original.
What do you guys think?

Dude I was like, addicted to these for over a year. I ate at least 2 servings a day. Sometimes a whole can at one sitting. They really helped me out back when I first started this whole weight-loss thing.
I will warn you -- if you tend to be on the very regular side of the digestion scale, you might want to steer clear of these. They really... move things along. I tend to be constipated, so they *ahem* helped me out.
I only stopped eating them last week, actually -- I'm trying to cut back on the food with unpronouncable ingredients.

Omg... that's so many! They're good... I hope I don't do that!
Haha, thanks for the advice... I think I'll be okay :/
Yaya! That's so good! I haven't quite managed that yet, one day! One daaay!!

OK, at the risk of sounding stupid...how the heck can Pringles be fat-free? I've never heard of this! (Maybe we don't have them in Canada?) Pringles are basically just potato and fat and flavouring, so...what do you get when you take out the fat?
they use olestra.. which causes gross things to happen in some people.. called anal leakage.. i can't eat that stuff.. it's gross
You guys make them sound so yummy :P
I'm still going to eat them though!

Olestra....
Tastes like fat, only if you eat too many Olestra chips, it seems to leave a coating my tongue. Anybody else experience that w/Olestra Chips? Oh yeah, how about the anal drip? Blech.

Anyone knows if Olestra is used in Canada. If it is what foods it is in? Thanks.
Only problem with chips is that not too many of us can stay at 15 chips. I certainly cannot have bag of them in the cupboard
I would like to also recommend popcorn light. Read ingredients! In some you can have half bag (43 g) from one bag you make 6 cups. You if you have someone to share you can get good size of popcorn for 90 calories (3 cups).
Of course, those who have electric popper can do popcorn without fat all-together and add flavouring bought in bulk store (check calories on that). That is even better.

I'm pretty good about only having so much, well, now I am. I used to be TERRIBLE. But I can manage now, as long as I have my water!
I don't believe Olestra is used in anything here in Canada. I think it was never approved for use in food here.
Eeeww, eeww, eeww, Pringles are so vile, I can't understand why anyone would want to eat them.
Fat free or not.
Fat free or not.
Oh, I heard about that in the States a couple years ago...I thought they pulled it from the markets because it wasn't safe or something? (Well, obviously not, if it's in Pringles!) I know it's not approved for consumption here in the frozen north, though.
Yeah!!! I love the Fat Free Ruffles Sour Cream and Cheddar made with Olestra. And yes I do find that some days it coats my tongue. I am "regular" and it does not cause any problems in that area but I only eat one serving of 15 chips every second or third day if my calories allow for it. I am a "chip-a-holic" and this allows me to get some "cheat-time" when I am not cheating at all.
I definitely recommend them, as long as it doesnt lead to a habit of chip eating binge extravaganzas! I count mine out into a bowl and savor every last little bite after the kids are in bed.

They used to have Doritos too, which I LOVED. Like 1 ounce serving was 90 calories. Mostly, I like AN ENTIRE bag of Kettle corn, 99% fat free. That rocks. It is a huge bag for 202 calories.
I like quantity (quality too). :)

My son didn't quite make the toilet after eating Doritos with Olestra that my ex-inlaws brought to a bbq. Poor kid didn't know. He refers to it as that time his butt exploded.
That scared me off Olestra.

I love both the sour cream and onion and the bbq. I never had any rear problems. I have always been regular, and these have never made my stool loose. I guess it only effect some people, and luckily I am not one!

My sister had to go to the doctor because she had blood in her stools after her and a friend chowed down on a whole bag of these things. So my advice, eat in moderation.
The concept behind Olestra is that it is an undigestible fat that basically goes in one end and out the other, and it is slippery like all fats. This is why people sometimes have the aforementioned issues.
Personally, I've had them several times and had no problems. Stick to a single serving and you will be fine.

Frito-Lay's WOW chips, including:
- Original Lay's
- Ruffles
- Cooler Ranch Doritos
- Nacho Cheesier Doritos
- Lay's Mesquite Bar-B-Q
- Tostitos
- Fat-Free Pringles
- Fat-Free Bar-B-Q Pringles
- Fat-Free Sour Cream and Onion Pringles
Olestra is illegal to use in Canada. Just for anyone wondering. We were taught about in in highschool biology (Some 4-5 years ago..) Honestly.. I'd be weary of the stuff. but then again, I dont trust those non-sugar sweeteners either (since of the 2 main types, 1 is not allowed to be used in Canada, and the other is not allowed in the US)
I can't say I like them. To me they tasted kinda stale.. I love the reduced fat pringles a lot. The baked lays potato chips became one of my favorite a while back.
OOOHH!! I was utterly addicted to these when I was in Houston 3 yrs ago. The sour cream ones rock! They did give me er.............."digestive issues", but were simply too yummy to give up.
Unfortunately, they are not available where I am now. grrrrrr.........
