Fat Free Rice Krispie Treats

Quote  |  Reply
I would this recipe and I am going to give it a try this weekend.

4 cups mini marshmallows

1/4 cup low fat buttermilk

5 cups Rice Krispies cereal.

In large saucepan, over low heat, combine marshmallows and buttermilk.  Melt, stirring occasionally.  When marshmallows have melted, turn heat up to medium and boil mixture for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.

Remove from heat. Stir in Rice Krispies.

Spray 9x13" baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.  Turn cereal mixture into baking dish.  Lightly spray a spoon with non-stick cooking spray.  press down cereal mixture with the back of the spoon.  Allow to cool.

Cut into 2" squares.

Yields: 20 squares

I saw the same show and wrote down the ingredients as I watched!

The recipe I provided turned out great. No one even noticed.  I put it in a 8" square pan which made them a little thicker and I am glad I did.
