Am I fat?

I'm 13, 5'2 (155cm) and 85 pounds. I want to know if I should loose more weight.

My sister is 13 and 5'2" but weighs 103lbs. She is as skinny as can be, so I can't imagine how thin you must be!!! Please do not lose any more weight. You should be eating whatever you want at age 13 and not worrying about weight.

If you have any questions or need some support, feel free to message me. Hang in there :)

Thanks so much! I was seriously worried because there's this girl in my class who's 5'3 and she weighs 80 pounds.

I don't know how you would "loose" weight.

correcting someones spelling on the internet is lame, correcting a 13 year olds is ridiculous..

Being 85 pounds and thinking you're fat is ridiculous.

Wizardsyay, look up BMI's, and see a doctor. Talk to your parents about your weight and food issues.

13 year old (female) child
who is 85 pounds
and is 5 feet and 2 inches tall has
a body mass index of 15.6,

which is at the 7th percentile,

and would indicate that your child is at a healthy weight. Keep in mind that it is still possible for a child to have an eating disorder even if they are at a healthy weight though.

I misread it as 5'3" :(

but thinking one is fat at such a weight and severe calorie restriction clearly implies eating disorder.

Edit again: Yes, I was this weight and height when  I was nearly hospitalised. Hmm...

At the same height and that weight I was hospitalized.

Yep, 15.6 is still very slight, even if considered technically healthy for a 13 year old female (in accordance with the child calculator). But you are right, the "thinking" behind the weight is what is skewed here. At that height and weight, the OP should most certainly not be considering losing more weight.

Wizard, do not embark upon ANY sort of weight loss regime unless you want to set yourself up for a very compromised future (if you even get one). You are growing and developing - as it is you are tiny - and I hope that in your case this is natural and that you haven't been dieting to get that way. At this age you need to be nourishing yourself adequately in order to grow and develop properly. I can't stress how important this is. The dangers associated with undernourishment, particularly during these crucial years, are very severe. Many are irreparable. I think you should talk to an older person about these concerns. If not your parents, is there possibly a teacher you feel comfortable sharing with? Feel free to message me. xox

Im the same height as you and at your age I think I was between 105 and 115. Please eat what you want. If you are having real problems with your relationship w. food, tell your parents and see a doctor.

I think we should all stop paying attention to this post.

After seeing her other posts, she's obvioulsly just fishing for compliments and pro-ana.

This thread should be locked, along with the others she had made.

I agree for the most part... except when someone is trolling I tend to not take them very seriously.

she said lose 'MORE' weight. so shes already dieted to this.

stop dieting and go to the doctor with your parents. you can waste so many years and end your life far too soon with an ED, and it always starts off with 'just losing some weight'.

you have also put a post up about your 200cals a DAY diet.

YOU ARE GOING TO DIE IF YOU DO NOT STOP THIS. I WILL BET ON THAT.
