Hey guys. I need some advice.
I am 19, about 120 pounds. I know this is not an unhealthy weight, in fact it is very healthy, but my legs look fat and I am relatively short so it makes them look even worse. Are there any leg exercises that target only the legs? I am not looking to build bulk by gaining muscle mass, I just want them slimmed down.
I am alright in the ass and the belly, its just these damn trunks that are standing in the way between me and a bikini.
Any suggestions at all would be helpful!! Thank you
There is no exercise that will reduce fat in a specific area. period.
i agree 100% with sully. the only thing you can do is shed more fat.
"I am not looking to build bulk by gaining muscle mass, I just want them slimmed down."
i suggest reading through and searching this forum for keywords like "toning", "bulk" and "pink" - it may help to read and learn how weightlifting burns loads of calories and does not hulk out women. it is worth it to lift and learn~
I'm insecure about my legs too, especially my inner thighs :(
I bet just toning them up would make a huge difference. I just started doing a pilates routine that's supposed do wonders haha, I'll tell you how it goes.
Repetition=definition. Running, hiking, biking, lunge work, you get the picture. It's true that you cannot remove fat from just one spot on the body, but do not underestimate the body's ability to shape your muscle in such a way as to have the appearance of more definition. The less fat you have on your body, the more your muscle will show, but if that muscle has never been challenged/worked out it's overall shape and definition will not be as distinct when compared to others that have.
weighted squats and lunges and deadlifts are a great way to tone and slim your legs.
Check out the link below, which includes photos on how to properly do a dumbell lunge

If you start doing these exercises on a regular basis, you should see results quickly since you're fairly thin. Best of luck and stay healthy!
squats, squats squats and more squats!!!! they suck but they really work!!
lunges are really good too especially with weights!
Alright,
I guess im going to start squatting ... haha
thank you so much for all of your help! and that link was very helpful, chescaleigh
