Can Fat People Bungy Jump...Well I did!

Quote  |  Reply
Always one to create a stir...I just wanted to let everyone know that I am 239lbs and I jumped head first off an enormous bridge with only a tiny elastic rope around my ankles...It was the most terrifying thing I have ever done in my whole life...Standing on the edge of the bridge...looking down at the swirling water way, way, way below...and thinking I am going to jump down into that. I really had to work through my fear/body shaking terror! But I did it!

I have pictures on my Blog...but I guess I just wanted to brag...If I can do that...then we can do anything...losing the remaining 63lbs that I have to loose should be a breeze for me after that. We shall see. I would never have even considered doing something like that if I hadn't lost the 95lbs that I already have. So for me this was a huge achievement in my life.

Congratulations!  Bungee jumping is so much fun, although I've never done it over water before--just off those cranes at amusement parks.  And congrats especially on overcoming your fears--you're right, now you can do anything!
wow...not over water I would imagine would be worst. Its important I think to push yourself and do things totally outside of your comfort zone.
wtg!!  you are an inspiration to me!  1. losing 95 pounds  2. stepping out of your comfort zone

glad you had fun!
