You are definately NOT fat.  You have a great shape!  Don't worry so much about boys and having a boyfriend; it will all come in time.  Focus on being healthy and making good choices!

wow... you're not fat at all. you've got a really nice shape and curves.

No. You're a classic pear shape like me. Ha Ha. You are in no way fat. You're also 17 and still technically growing. (How I would embrace  those extra cals right now. Ha Ha.) Enjoy life and your body. You're still young.

You look completely fine. :)

Aww this is really kind :) Confidence boost. Everyone in my college is soooo skinny though (practically 90%) so i just feel left out...

if u think u are fat, go to google images and type in/search ''fat'' and 'obese'.

while ur at it, use the BMI calculator on this site.

U R NOT FAT U R IN FANTASTIC SHAPE. u can lose all the weight in the world---its NOT going to make u happy and it WONT get u a boyfriend.

focus on being active, eating ur BMR (not lower!), making healthier choices (not crash dieting or putting urself down...if u cant accept urself, who in gods name will?!)...

take it slow and build up ur confidence. u dont do that by starving or restricting. ur not done growing Internally even if u dont grow in inches....

wholeheat bread & pasta, beans, fruit, veg, seafood, lean meat, fish and oily fish for omega3 for great hair, mood, skin etc...

they should be ur staples. treats like chocolate etc are FINE!!! u shud not feel guilty if u eat these we r human and food like that was put on this earth to give us some pleasure lol, but with moderation!

cheer up and get some perspective.

i dont mean to come across as harsh, btw, just im 19 and at age 14 i was 5ft 2 and 146lbs, now i have overcome Anorexia which brought me down to 6st at my lightest.....i wish id never started analysing myself wen there was NOTHING wrong with me. im at a healthy bmi now, just as u r!, and love food, life, friends etc.

i was unhappy with the confusion that comes with being a teen, not with my weight, i realised.

now next time ur near a hot boy, smile and introduce urself!

really, u dont want to go down the body-obsessed, depressive path. get out and live ur life ur only young once, dont waste time fretting when u look fantastic

Jessica from a guys point of view, your body is amazing. You are no where near fat in any way at all.

not even close to being fat.   enjoy your body.  dont take it for granted.  Smile

you don't "look" fat but remember that even "skinny" people can actually be fat.

Dangerous body types are the "apple" shapes. You have a pear shape. Eat a healthy diet and exercise. And don't ever go for guys who simply look at your outer appearance (obviously).

My GOD! I'm not just saying this-- you are NOT fat. Guys would deff. go for a body like yours.

I'm jealous, you have a fantastic hourglass shape. (Curvy hips, skinny waist.)

And do you see flab on the inside of your thighs? Don't think so. Definite turn on for guys.

God no, I'm a lot taller than you and about 10 lbs less and I would give anything to have a mid section like yours. You look amazing, dont let the scales tell you any differently.

Definitely not fat!  You have a great waist to hip ratio - you look curvy and gorgeous.  I have the same height/weight as you do, but you look way better than I do.

(And as a bi woman, I can tell you that you definitely have nothing to worry about in regards to attracting guys.  You look fantastic.  Laughing  Please try not to worry about being "too fat" - you're not fat in any way shape or form. )

What you should do is to follow a low-calorie diet, high in green vegetables, some fruits, low-fat meats, low-fat milk, etc. and a moderate aerobic exercise routine of walking, or bikeriding for 40 minutes, 5 to 6 days and some weight training if you want.  I know it's very hard to stick to an exercise program because we live in a very lazy society, and most people just hate exercising.  But we have to do it if we want a great body.

PAY NO ATTENTION TO BINGE_EATERS POST ABOVE. u do not need to go on a low calorie diet of veg!

who actually looks drastically low in body fat in his pic, and clearly is living a daily exercise regime that u will not realistically , as a young girl, follow...nor should u as a female in general

i wouldnt accept dietary advice from a pseudo-male body builder who admits so freely to having ED tendancies.

listen to everyone else u look fab.

You look just like a young lady should look -- Healthy with a nice trim waist.

Rather then worrying about your weight, start to work on your self-confidence.  Walk tall and proud with your head held up and your shoulders squared.  THAT is what is attractive!!!!

Don't let 'the skinny girls' bring you down.

Jessiika, you're beautiful! You really have an amazing shape. I felt like you at your age, and I look back now at pictures of myself then and think how sad it was that I couldn't see how beautiful I was. I rated myself as the least attractive girl in the class and when I look at the photos now, there's no way that is the case (as if there's any point even trying to make such superficial judgements, but still, that's what I'd been doing). It's a hard time and boys get together with girls for many many reasons, some of them not so good. I got a wonderful boyfriend in the end, and I didn't get hurt by jerks (well, not too much) Smile. Also, women get their 'woman' shape at different times. You're woman-shaped now, and you look lovely. You've struck it lucky with your genes. Some of the 'skinny' girls at college will be further behind in their development and might still basically have their child shape, even if they're tall. In ten years' time, even five years' time, the picture will almost certainly be different.

Give yourself a break, feel happy and proud and hang in there.

Hello ktjo: I am sorry, but why do you get so emotional and angry against me? when all i am trying to do is to give my best advise.  If my nick in this forum is "binge_eater" it doesn't mean that I binge today.  I admit that i had binge-eating problems in the past however i am trying to combat the temptation for binge-eating.

And the advise i gave her of some moderate weight-training, combined with 5 to 6 days of walking, or bikeriding a week is pretty rational.  So i don't understand why do you attack my last comment.

binge_eater.............. really much props for overcoming ed problems i admit that was a lowblow and presumtious of me but it was the following suggestion that peed me off

''low-calorie diet, high in green vegetables, some fruits, low-fat meats, low-fat milk, etc''

this TEENAGE girl is having a senseless body crisis and all shes looking for is someone to confirm NO she is not overweight in the slightest. we were all giving her just that and u came along with suggestions which anyone wud consider the hallmarks of a DRASTIC diet .....she doesnt need that. she doesnt need to be subsisting on low cal veggies SOME fruits, ALL low fat dairy..... i just felt that ur post was conterproductive and was sending her a mixed message. she has a teeny waist, is in college and feeling a bit insecure. shes not a candidate for a diet overhaul.

best of luck to u tho, that last line of My previous post was Also inappropriate.

I wish we could code CC to auto-post a picture of my ass and gut whenever someone asks "am I fat"

you a totally not fat! because if you are, then I am. I am the same age, and about an inch shorter than you, and I have about the same shape as you, probably about the same size even. Gotta love those love handles and nice thighs. Cutting back a little (not a lot!!!) should help shed your unwanted pounds though. At 5'4" you probably shouldn't go much less than 107lbs. It'll take patience and time but being a teenage sucks. I have my days where I'll say "Oh my goooosshhhh... my butt is huge." (I probably sound like that too. hahah) It's just all in the process of growing up. When we're older there will be a lot more people who will be larger than we are. The healthy BMI rates go up as we get older (I think...?)

Just try to love yourself the way you are. It sucks, but we all go through it. c:

Nope you're definitely not fat at all. That's just your shape, and it's a nice one to have! Be happy :)
