Just want some honest opinions.

Why do you say that you are fat? Was it because some one told you you were? Do you think you are fat.
girl u are so gorgggg is not funny! do u know why beyonce's so famous??? because of her butt and hips and thighs! look at scarlett johanssen...so gorrgg and she's curvy as death. honestly, if i were a guy i wuddnt want a stick thin woman ... ewwww..... u are hotttt!!! dont mind the twiggy wannabes [no disrespect to twiggy or anything] but be yourself, you are hott!! those hips ae banging mami!!!

your not necessarily fat, just squishy and untoned. you should do more exercise to smooth out a bit.
To be honest, i think we have a pretty similar shape... you've just angled your camera differentely :)
I think i'm 'larger' than most girls my age... but when i was 11, someone told me i was fat... then i turned anorexic. I am not now though, obviously!
Trust me, no matter how much skinnier those girls are than you (probably more in your head than anything else), I'm sure they wish they could have sexy as hell curves like yours.
You're hot! Have a blast. You don't have a boyfriend because of your body...it could be bc of insecurity issues, but what 17 year doesn't have those??? Hey, don't even bother with a boyfriend at this point in your life...they only get better with age anyways. Just go out and have a blast. When the time is right you'll get swept right off your feet.
you look great, fat is very different from that, but you do have some problem you need to address if with this body you think you re fat
i never said we had a different shape as you jessikka. i am also a bit squishy and am currently working to fix it. mind you that picture was about 15 lbs ago and before i started to work out. if anything from experience i can tell you if you work out it can really help. never said my body was perfect, lord knows its not.
You are most definitely NOT fat. You have a gorgeous shape I could only ever dream of.
I love your curves. You are one lucky girl!
No you are not fat. You are soft, meaning not much muscle definition. You are healthy looking. And you are a pear shape, from what I can see. No matter how much weight you lose you will always have that shape.
Jessiika, you're not fat - but I'm going to make another point here: Accept your body the way it is, and you'll feel great about it. No matter what people say.
I know it's easier said than done, but it's definitely do-able. Look at the Dove ads. I have a body like some of the women in these ads, and I feel totally good in it. Even sexy. Just like they do.
Take good care of your body, don't abuse it. Wear pretty dresses, invent your own style. Get a cool haircut. Buy delicious body lotion. Have a piece of chocolate and enjoy it. Remember: You have only this one body! If you feel good in it, this attitude will reflect in your personality.
Learn to love your body and it will make you strong. :)
If you think that's fat... you might have an image and/or eating disorder.

she asked for an honest opinion and got a couple. no offense but a lot of you are pretty out of shape and overweight yourselves, anything compared to you guys is skinny.
She DID ask for an honest answer, a lot of people in here are in fat denial. She asked for an honest oppinion and I gave her one. If someone wants an honest oppinion, im not gonna lie to them and tell them what they wanna hear. You know?
hi jessiika,
First off, you're not fat. That said, you're not super-skinny, either. You're an appropriate weight for a girl of your height and age. I understand that it can be hard to love your body when there are so many girls who are unhealthily skinny around you and splashed all over the media, but there's nothing wrong with your weight as it is.
At the same time, now is a great time to start developing HEALTHY habits. Exercise 30-90 minutes 5-6x/wk. It doesn't have to be intense exercise--it can just be walking around campus or biking to the store--and you'll probably start to feel like you have more energy fast. The point is to find something you like that doesn't feel like a chore. And, as hard as it is while you're in college and eating dorm food, making healthy eating choices will make you feel better, too. Make sure you're getting all the vitamins and minerals you need, plenty (but not too much) of protein, and lots of water.
I have a small torso, so learning to love my own shape has been a struggle. The best thing I did for myself was to set fitness goals instead of weight goals. I lost 10 lbs while training for a 5k, and I gained 5 so far while weight training. Weight is just a number, but being able to lift my bodyweight or run away from a herd of stampeding buffalo--those are important life skills :) So try to find something other than that number--which is really just fine--to tie your sense of accomplishment and your motivation to. You'll be much happier for it.
No, you aren't "fat", but could you lose about 10 lbs? Certainly. You are above the optimal weight. That's an honest opinion; "No you are skinny be proud of your curves I love how you look" is a motivational one. Most of the people on this forum are overweight, and are biased towards trying to comfort you about your weight in my opinion.
It's up to you though. There are far, far worse bodies you could be stuck with. Do you want to lose weight? Then lose weight. Your opinion is the only one that is important. If you "hate your body so much", is someone telling you "No you're not fat" going to help? Put the work in, lose the weight, and get a body you can be proud of.
That's all there is to it. You have to be your own motivation.
Just because a person is fat doesn't mean they can't make clear judgements about what is or isn't fat. But I agree... it's really a personal thing and if you don't like the way you look it's up to you to fix it or learn to live with it. A million people telling you you're thin isn't going to change what you see in the mirror. I'm always amazed at the kinds of personal questions people will ask a bunch of strangers on a web site. I hope they don't take the advice they get too seriously.
This girl is gorgeous. We're settled. ![]()

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat!? That seems absurd to me. I wouldn't suggest for her to lose weight at all. If she wanted to work out and shape up that's one thing...but 10 pounds definitely seems to be too much!

Jessiika, if you lost 10 pounds, you'd likely see your ribs sticking out. Along with many others here, I think you have a very nice figure. Focus on eating healthy (cheating every now and again is fine) and maintaining exercise. The older we get, the harder it is to maintain and/or lose. Plus, by eating good foods and exercising, you'll be and feel healthy. If something is really bothering you, get a professional opinion next time you see your doc. I guarantee you they'll say you're in the right range for your height.
I spent years being miserable over my weight when I was about your weight and age. Only now do I realize what a waste of time it was. *Now* I have to worry and work extra hard to fix my mistakes. Please treat your body well and enjoy it by going out and doing things with friends like going to the beach or lake and wearing fun clothes.
Listen hun, you are absolutely perfect just the way you are! You have amazing curves that girls will be jealous of in a few years! Being an hourglass shaped teenager is hard because a lot of girls haven't developed their curves yet.
No, do not lose any weight. You are absolutely not fat, overweight, or 'squishy' at all!
I'm not sure what people were thinking when they told you to lose 10 pounds. Maybe they're in denial of an eating disorder or something, because losing 10 pounds would be absolutely awful for you!
Now, there's nothing wrong with trying to eat healthy. It's good for your entire body if you eat lots of veggies, fruits, grains, etc. But by no means should diet or count your calories. You want pizza? Enjoy your pizza!
And about being 'honest', I know I'm overweight, but that doesn't mean I can't see a thin, perfectly curvy chick when I see one.
