fatigue, pms and training
Hey, I was just wondering if anyone else has extreme fatigue just before getting their period. If so, what to you do to counter-balance it and just how does it effect your training? Is there a natural way to prepare for and perhaps cancel out PMS?
I am totally wiped out just three weeks before my second triathlon and I'm worried about not being able to train properly because I feel like getting off my bike and lying down for a nap at the side of the road!
Damned hormones...

I'm training for my third marathon.
Have you had your thyroid checked? I felt that way when my thyroid meds were off.
Another thing you can try is getting more protein in and plenty of water. Maybe you can try protein shakes and bars.
You could also be anemic. I don't know if you've had your iron levels checked lately, but I know that athletes are more inclined to become anemic. I take an iron supplement in addition to a multivitamin because I'm anemic too.

I usually get like that during the first couple days of my period. I find that forcing the workout a little usually gets me over the hump. However, I did reset my alarm when it went off this morning. My body and mind said there was no way in heck I was going to the gym!!!! lol I will make up for it tomorrow though.
