has anyone tried the diet fatloss for idiots
its based on restricted diet for 11 days thn 3 days eat what u like.
im interested in purchasing it however would like to know if it works
It's a total gimmick and you can restrict what you eat for four days for free.
Unfortunately I fell for it.....got through the first week and quit. It's horrible. And the food suggestions are very bad for you. Eggs, bacon, etc. It's very similar to Adkins, which I never was able to do either. I would suggest a 1200-1400 calorie a day diet with some exercising. I have been doing this for about a month now and have lost 8 pounds and counting. It's so much more realistic, you don't have to restrict any types of foods which means you will be able to continue it and reach your goal. You can do 4-5 small meals per day on 1200-1400 calories easily and still eat your veggies, carbs, fruits, even desserts. I don't feel deprived at all. It's soooo much better.
hi, unfortunately that sounds like a really bad diet even without teling us more info, because eating "what you like" for 3 days could totally undo everything you did in the previous 11 days. and also its not really a healthy mindset to get in to. if you want the BEST diet ever that is enjoyable and also works, u are on the right site... go to tools and get your calorie requirements and start counting calories, and that is it, you will lose..
Sorry to add another depressing comment, but I've also tried the fat loss for idiots diet and it did not work for me. I found the food choices really hard to stick to- a meal would be something like pastrami. Or turkey, or milk. You could eat as much as you wanted, but after three days, I found that I didn't actually want to eat any of it anymore. It was way too monotonous for me. I did lose 2 lbs in three days, but I ended up gaining it back.
It's just not what you should be eating. Anything that takes you away from portion control and proper eating habits is just a gimmick. The only thing getting lighter is your wallet.
Like everyone else has said, it's most likely a waste of your time and money doing something like fatloss for idiots.
Even if you could stick to it and make it work until you lose the amount of weight that you want to, when you go back to 'normal' eating, all the weight will probably come back.
It would be easier to learn about portion control, and try to cut down on the higher calorie foods, replacing them with healthier alternatives. That way you don't need to restrict yourself to certain foods, you'll be so much healthier, and because you can always plan for those 'naughty' foods it's something you can stick to forever because you can still eat anything you like.. just in manageable amounts to fit into your calorie budget for the day/week/month, however you want to do it.
I hope you find something you're happy with and that will work for you
I think the folks at that site are taking a reasonable idea, which is real, and twisting it. The fact is that you can avoid a plateau by having a light week at say 200-300 daily caloric deficit and then the next week have a heavier one at about 100 daily cal deficit. This is better for ppl who have more to lose, like more than 20% because it's a longer weight loss period. It's easier to stick to it if you aren't always restricting cals so much. Also, plateaus are reached when the body, via homeostasis, adjusts to the restrictions. It's the same with working out. Theorectically, if you do the same workout all the time, your body will adjust to expend the least amount of energy to perform the exercise and will actually burn fewer cals. Also, as you lose wt, you burn fewer cals doing the sme things, unless you are building muscle. Then the ratio of loss to caloric burn depends on the rate of muscle mass gain.
Sorry so wordy. I want to make it clear what I think is going on with the diet advertised. I don't believe you can starve yourself on celery and carrot sticks for a week, then binge on bacon & eggs for another week and expect to lose wt. That's not what I mean. The caloric adjustments are slight. It's the difference between say a snack at mid day of raw veggies or fruit and a Clif bar or something like that. Or the difference between a dish of pasta & veggies and a dish of veggies & veggies. I hope that wasn't too confusing. There is some merit to the idea, but the fact that they want money for it is ridiculous. I'm sorry anyone lost money trying it. Oh and, another 2-cents' worth... Atkins is terrible. You need good carbs. I can understand someone with dangerously high triglycerides needing to bring them down, but you need to have good, organic whole grains in your diet. Vitamin supplements aren't enough. Tri's get high from garbage carbs, not whole grains.
If you want to lose weight, the basic way I suggest is to build muscle mass on carb-fueled energy, like whole grains & fruit. Do it in the afternoons. It's a fact that denser muscles burn more fat at rest than less dense muscles. Then, do a reasonable amount of cardio in the mornings on a little carbs, like dry whole wheat toast & an apple. This will up the metabolism and make that muscle burn fat even more efficiently at rest. The idea is to burn fat at rest, not while working out. Exercise is intended to condition the body's metabolism and other systems to operate efficiently. If you are exercising on a glycogen deficit you are hitting "the wall". That means you are placing your body into shock, under tremendous duress and that will, after awhile, cause your metabolism to actually lower. Not to mention what it does to your cortisol levels and adrenals. Very bad for you. I know this is a controversial subject, whether to exercise on an empty stomach or not, but I have my own experience to pull from. Not only is it harder to do, but it's bad for you. Basically, if you feel bad doing it, it's not good. I've been at this a couple of decades. This is my own experience. It works for me. It may not work for you. There. I've said what I needed to. I hope it helps. Thanks for reading.
I wouldn't try a diet that calls me an idiot.
<snickers>
Well, I have done this particular diet, lost 10 kilos and still losing! It may sound like a gimmick, but it works for me and my husband and I have felt no ill effects at all. It is NOT Atkins, which I would not touch with a bargepole, and you do NOT put back the weight on your cheat days if you eat sensibly.
It is not to evryone's taste, but neither are any of these other fad diets that are circulating.
I enjoy the diet, and think it is well worth a try.
My advice? Don't try a diet that is marketed towards idiots.
