Fruit - kiwifruit, banana, mango, rockmelon being the best. Also good is canned pie filling (no sugar added) esp,
raw unsalted nuts (measure them)
Cottage cheese
Oats!! Best ever. But if you're looking for snack sized (in terms of cals) try oatbran - 40g = 100 cal (instead of 150g) plus its smoother, bulks up more, and is faster to cook. So making 30g (instead of 1/4 c oatmeal at 113cal) give you room for some sugar free preserves, or fruit on top. Yummy

Cherries, yogurt and passionfruits are my favourites.

red-herring question for you

- can you break down this oats vs. oatbran for me? And how do you prepare oatbran to taste like oatmeal?
My favorite: Cherry tomatoes. I usually pack a few of those little squishy guys with my lunch. I love it when you bite 'em with your molars and they squirt their juices inside your mouth. Yum.

Mango, strawberry-banana yogurt, sweet millions [only from my uncle's garden though =)] Granny Smith apples, French toast [made with flax bread and egg whites], Subway Veggie Delite sub, cottage cheese, and the love of my life MULTIGRAIN CHEERIOS.

cucumber

raw brocolli/cauliflower

peanut butter

wasa light n crispy crackers
Peanut butter on a whole wheat english muffin, soy crisps, fruit, and yogurt mixed with granola
I don't know if I'd say Beef Jerky is "good" for you. Pretty high in Sat Fat and Sodium. Just keep how much you eat of it to a minimum.

I'd think idealy you want to get it out of your diet completely though.

carrots and hummus :)
fiber one cereal mixed with fat-free yogurt
hummus, mmm, yeah!

I like bell peppers and hummus.

I also started snacking on Miso soup (37 Cals) -- the Korean kind that come in those cool packets.  I buy them on Amazon.
fresh green beans. mmm

Any type of fruit
I love fuji apples.  You can find them in the candy isle (where I found them) in a little jar.  Only 50 cals for half a jar and they are great!
