What are your favorite "bad" foods that you miss and love and can't live without!!
Hey all!
There are certain foods we all just love and unfortunately some of those foods are also a little too high in calories. One of my favorite foods is peanut butter and I should say I also love chocolate so it's pretty unfortunate for me that I REALLY LOVE Chocolate and peanut butter together... always have, probably always will so I've learned to work with my weakness. I just could never live without the two so I do eat them but in very small amounts otherwise if I deprive myself of them completely I'm likely to really crave them then binge because "I can't have it and I'll just start again tomorrow"...see that's why you should always have whatever you are craving, and not make anything forbidden but just have whatever you want in trace amounts.
So yesterday I made 3 dozen peanut butter cookies with reese peanut butter chips and choc chips for an end of final papers get together with some friends. Well of course you can't just bake something like that and not "try" it lol and ooooh boy one taste and I was history!! I'll be running all weekend long because I must of had like who knows how many calories "trying" my delicious cookies... but you know sometimes you just have to enjoy! :)

I also love chocolate covered almonds, cheese, white wine, and I love love love caesar salad with bacon.

I love peanut butter too! I can't live without it, so I started ordering pb2. It's powdered peanut butter. They've taken out a lot of the fat so it's only 54 calories for two tablespoons. You just add the water back when you want to eat some.
I'm a huge fan and am on my 4th jar. I think it's sold by Bell Plantation online.
Can't live w/o: red wine, dark chocolate, carbs
Also - I love any type of pizza. Trying not to eat it anymore, b/c it triggers me to binge.

This thread just made me figure out that I don't really miss anything now, I guess the only thing that I can't live without is coke zero, but that I can still have haha
Cinnabon. I limit myself once a month now.
One singe Cinnabon is 780 cal.
Not sure if it's available in other states/provinces, I get it here in Toronto.

uno thanks so much for letting me know about that lower calorie PB...I'll have to look for it. I just eat Jif or Peter Pan. Oh my God please don't even remind me about pizza...how could I forget to include it on my list?! I think I tried to block it out because I could never stop at one slice of pizza.
It is perfectly okay to have just about any food but we have to do so in moderation. It's never a good idea to deprive ourselves otherwise we get a little taste of something and next thing you know ... you're far gone in a full blown out binge...or at least that's what happens to me when I become too restrictive in the diet.

The only thing I painfully miss is Pizza...oh LORD do I miss it...I MISS IT!!! I think I will write a song about it..lol
Good pizza. Man I wish they made a low carb pizza that tasted like the real thing.
cheese!!! I still eat it, but not nearly as much. I also miss chocolate. I still eat pizza bc i cant live without it haha. We have frozen red barons and on occasion I will eat 1/2 of one (800 cal) for dinner, but only after eating little for breakfast and lunch lol.

I love the peanut ones aswell, and the crispy ones too.
I also havn't been eating hardly any pasta and potato either, purely cos the calores are so high its just not worth it. I miss them.

The first thing that popped into my head was my biggest weakness...I buy a bag of yogurt covered raisens from walgreens and mix it together with a can of cashews...mmm-good. But then you guys had to go and mention PIZZA!!! I have not had pizza for for over a year. Now I can't shake the word out of my head. I am going to be thinking ZA all day long

I have to agree with most of you, and say pizza.
I live in Chicago, and we're famous for our deep dish, Chicago-style pizza.

So does that PB2 actually taste good. I love peanut butter and I have a little bit spread on toast but it would be awesome if I could use a big dallop of it. How does it compare to Jif?

Of course I miss pizza and chocolate!! Snickers were one of my all time favorite--
But pasta is my weakness. I love cassorles, spagehetti, mac n cheese... anything pasta!
I'm not depriving myself of these things, but eating more in moderation and healthier versions.
Like I get the whole grain pasta now and I'll eat a snickers mini instead of king sized bar! Pizza is still hard for me, but I buy frozen ones instead of from a delivery place and I try to get the ones whole the whole grain crusts...

Heh, I was reading this thread and thinking, "wow, no one said pasta yet," until I got to christinem206! Yes, pasta is my absolute downfall: pasta with a cream sauce (alfredo, gorgonzola, any kind of creamy goodness/cheese). I let myself have a big ass bowl of pasta with cream or cheese sauce about twice a month, because I would have it even if I didn't allow it! Hee. I also LOVE pizza, so I have that sometimes, too.
That said, I usually leave a couple hundred calories every day for something that feels indulgent. I eat a lot of fruit and veggies every day, which often leaves me at fewer than 1000 calories, so I have something that's technically "bad" almost every day. Some nights it's a slice of toast with peanut butter on it (PB is good for you -- it has the GOOD fats!) or it's a small piece of cake. Since I know I get to have something every day it's easy for me to control the portion, and still stay around 1200 cals for the day.

There really isn't anything major that I miss other than perhaps pizza. We have pizza and movie night at our house on Friday's and sometimes we make homemade and sometime we order delivery and that is always Domino's Thin Crust with lots of sausage, pepperoni, onions and peppers.
I miss ben's and jerry....i have it in my fridge right, but i cant have it :{
Wow, not much I do miss. Maybe pizza, but I have that on my cheat days (thin crust papa murphy's....not too horribly bad if you eat a reasonable portion!). Sometimes I miss sitting around and munching on chex mix. I'm definitely more of a salt fiend than a sugar eater.
More than anything I miss meat lover pizza with extra cholesterol.
I used to indulge in meat lovers all the time. Now I consider indulging allowing mysefl a piece of veggie lover pizza about once a month. =X
