all time
band: brand new (with beastie boys/le tigre tied for second)
song: pixies - "where is my mind?" (greatest song ever. don't even argue with me).

currently
band: interpol (although they're actually my #4 fave of all time, but i've been totally obsessed lately) and lily allen. i know she's been out for a while, but i just got into her big time like two months ago. i love her.
song: ....i don't really have a current favorite. nothing that i'm dying to listen to. i'll put lily allen's "ldn".

The first time I listened to Shoplifters, I was half asleep, and I thought it was, "Sharp Lifters of the World", and I pictured all these peope lifting the earth with a giant lever. It was very strange.

I also love the song "How Soon is Now?" I know it's the stereotypical Smiths song that even non-fans like, but the lyrics really strike a personal chord with me. I have issues deciding what my favourite song is, though. The other day, I was randomly obsessed with "These Things Take Time". Every song is just so perfect.

a friend of mine used to think that "i'm sorry, miss jackson" was "anonymous jackson". we were singing it in the car one day and she busts out with that, and everyone just kinda looked at her like, "what the hell did you just say?"

This is really hard for me. I listen to so many different genres of music that it's hard for me to narrow it down! First of all, I LOVE jazz and a cappella music. I won't list specifics there because there are too many. Haha.

Other favorite bands/musicians:

The Album Leaf, Basement Jaxx, Beck, The Decemberists, Elliott Smith, Fiona Apple, Iron & Wine, Maximo Park, Nat King Cole, The Police, Ray Charles,  The Temptations.. I'll stop there. :)

Gah I just realised I completely left Pulp out of my favourite ever bands!! NOOO Nothing beats disco 2000 for dancing to, except maybe common people...

I mostly like everything, but my all-time favorite band would have to be Paramore.

And, all there songs are amazing.

The girl from Paramore does write some amazing stuff doesnt she! If you like the check out a band called "Mayday Parade" they are good personal friends of mine but unfortunately they went big and we dont talk much anymore.

My favorite band however is prolly - As I Lay Dying

I'm not exactly a young calorie counter, but I want to play too!  I love learning about new music!
