What was your favorite Baptism gift for your child?

My sister just asked me to be my nephews Godmother, and I want to get the baby something really special.  It was a little short notice, and I only have two weeks.  I'm hosting a party at my house after his Baptism, so I won't have a lot of money to spend on a gift after I've taken care of food, drinks, cake,etc.  I'm thinking that $50-ish would be OK. 

Does anyone have any suggestions?  Thanks!

When my son was baptised he got many things and there still all sitting in a box. The best gifts was money and clothes I know it sounds bad but all that "stuff" IMO is just clutter, just bc you have all those things doesnt make you christian...again thats my opinion.

The money I put in his account for when hes older. The fact that you will be the godmother however you prolly should maybe get him something a little more personal like maybe a book or something special like that. Anyways good luck and congrats.

How about a personalised bible? Or a savings account for him with the $50 that his parents & others can add to? Or a personalised 'Baptism Photo Album' filled with photo's of the day? I agree with Chantale- the lovely 'trinkets' my two got were pretty, but are still in their boxes taking up room!

Yeah, I was kind of thinking that money would be the most appreciated.  Maybe I'll just get him a little something and then give them some money to put into his savings account.  I was thinking about having a piggy bank personalized for him, but I don't have enough time to order anything online :(.  Maybe I'll do a little shopping this weekend to see what I can find.  Thanks for your help!!!
