What is your favorite cereal?

Quote  |  Reply
I'm always looking to try new kinds of cereal, because it is my favorite thing to eat for breakfast.  It can be tough to find a tasty AND healthy one.  Just wondering what everybody likes!

My fave is probably honey bunches of oats with almonds.  The nutritional stats aren't too bad... pretty low in sugar and fat, but not a whole lot of fiber.

I prefer buying bio wheat flakes and mix them with dried cranberries. I only eat store-bought cereals instead of desserts.

Special K protein plus

Kashi Go Lean (original)

Kashi Honey Sunshine (for a treat)

Special K protein plus

cheerios

all-bran extra fiber!

oh.. and Kashi 7 whole grain puffs... but they seem SO hard to find!

Kashi Go Lean

Cheerios (but I never buy it)

Great Grains Pecan crunch -- this I don't buy because I can (and unfortunately have) eat a box in less than a day (and still felt hungry after the fact).  But damn, it's good.

Kellogg's Complete Wheat Bran Flakes...soooo yummy! Only 90 calories for 3/4 of a cup!!! I eat one cup of cereal with 1/2 cup of skim milk every morning, and it keeps me full for about 3 or 4 hours! AND it comes to a total of only 160 calories!!!

i like homemade oatmeal with milk, light brown sugar and banana slices.

but cereal (which is also a popular meal for me); i usualy have fiber one, kashi go lean "protien and fiber", and recently quaker essentials.

Honey Nut Cheerios is an all-time favorite of mine-- I especially like that it's heart-healthy, given my family's long and persistent history of heart disease.

Special K Vanilla and Almond, which I've been munching on all day, is simply too yummy. I haven't gotten a good chance to eat nuts since I started counting calories, and this gives me all the taste without the unnecessary gain. Lots of vitamins, too.

I had some kind of Kashi once and it was delicious... I just haven't gotten around to getting more for some reason. Wierd.

Not sure I have a true favorite, but here's some that I like:

Kashi Cinnamon Harvest (love it with blueberries on top that are in season for us right now!)

Quaker Corn Bran (can't find it at every store, but it's a cereal I remember having as a child and still like today -- great fiber content, but only thing i don't like is the artificial coloring)

Quaker Oat squares (a little high in sugar and calories, but great flavor and nice texture)

"homegrown" raisin bran with bran flakes and raisins (cuts a bit of the sugar from the regular brand)

La Lechera is really good and only 100 calories without milk per serving. I forget how much it is with skim milk.

Blueberry muffin tops is also really good and the new maple cinnamon life.

Alpen Original - somewhat muesli-like with various flakes, oats, skim milk powder, raisins and almond slivers.  The 1/2 cup serving really fills me up and comes with 4 g fiber and 5 g protein.  Somewhat high in sugar, but a lot of that's because of the raisins.  This is my evening snack nearly every day.

Post Selects Date & Raisin Pecan Crunch - a more traditional cereal with flakes and some crispy granola clusters as well as the raisins, date pieces and pecan pieces in the title.  Again, 1/2 cup is quite filling and this one comes with 5 g fiber and 4 g protein.  Also high in sugar because of the dried fruit (and probably the granola clusters).

i'll be perfectly honest. my favorite cereal is french toast crunch :|

sooo not good for you, but sooo tasty.

Go Lean Crunch is sooooooooo good. I eat it by the handful out of the box problem is I can kill a box!

I like GoLean too but when it comes to comfort cereal I love Lucky Charms and Applejacks!

Healthy cereal- honey bunches of oats! :]

Unhealthy cereal- Chocolate pebbles~

my favorite-favorite: honey nut cheerios

what i actually eat every morning and still like: kashi go lean crunch

I love the original – homemade porridge There are so many ways to enjoy it, it’s one of the healthiest options because you know exactly what goes into it I like it sticky with honey and banana, with dried fruit and plain yogurt, runny with cinnamon, in my cup of milky coffee. And home made Oat-meal biscuits are healthy and easy to make. Perfect with a cupa!!

The best cereal on the planet is the new Fiber One Cinnamon Delight!!!  1 cup = 180 cals, 9g fiber, 3g protein... Not much protein, so I add a protein shake (instead of milk), to balance it out.

I love Cheerios, Fiber One, Frosted Mini Wheats, oatmeal, Kashi Go Lean, Total, and pretty much any other cereal out there.

Has anyone tried the new Frosted Mini Wheats flavor? The blueberry muffin one? I had been wondering whether it was worth getting or not.

kashi golean almond flax

Fiber One is tasty :].

Fruity Pebbles is deliciously yummy, too.

all bran is my current favourite.  i also like cinnamon toast crunch, peanut butter or cinnamon puffins, golden grahams and honey nut cheerios
