What is your favorite cereal?

Quote  |  Reply
I'm always looking to try new kinds of cereal, because it is my favorite thing to eat for breakfast.  It can be tough to find a tasty AND healthy one.  Just wondering what everybody likes!

My fave is probably honey bunches of oats with almonds.  The nutritional stats aren't too bad... pretty low in sugar and fat, but not a whole lot of fiber.

honey bunches of oats, either original or chocolate.

Oh my gosh... a list of what I don't favour would be way shorter.

Fiber One Caramel Delight w/ 1% milk - DE-licious!

Kashi Heart to Heart w/ 2% milk - Mmmmmmm!

The old standby: Fiber One and a cut-up banana with skim milk.  Meh...

Kashi Heart-to-Heart

It actually satisfied my craving for cookies with only 110 calories per 3/4 cup, only 1.5 grams of fat, 25 grams of carbohydrate, 5 grams of fiber, and 4 grams of protein. I used to eat Kashi Go Lean, but it's actually fairly calorie dense. Kashi Heart-to-Heart is also only $2.57 a box!!!

Whole Foods Wheat Flakes with Dried Strawberries

Not as nutritious as Kashi, but super delicious and fairly good for you.

I love Special K purple berries. The milk turns lilac and it's pretty low in calories (112cals per 30g serving with semi-skimmed milk) Can't go wrong, really.

love love love for healthy:

kashi cinnamon harvest
kashi golean and golean crunch
kashi heart healthy

unhealthy:

trix
frosted mini wheats
lucky charms
cocoa puffs

Apple cinnamon Cheerios's only 120 cal in 3/4 cup without milk, and it scores an A in nutrition!

I love cheerios because they are so good for you and you can eat a lot of them!

Oatmeal.  I really dislike boxed flake type cereals.

Well cereal is my enemy because i can't stop at one bowl... i'm into the really sugary stuff too, especially cinnamon toast crunch and my all time favorite, Frankenberry!!! (which they only make around halloween time)

 I had this when I was in Ireland and soooooooo wish it was availale in the US!

It is soooo good!

i absolutely love love honey nut toasted oats! it's actually a kroger brand, i think. i used it to replace honey nut cheerios as i got sick from that cereal. they don't taste exactly the same, but i love it now!

Blueberry Muffin Mini Wheats <3 Wink

Lately it has been

Kix and peanut butter crunch..

Dorset mueslis are DELICIOUS! My favourite is the blue box (not sure what its called!) Anyone else tried them?

Also, sultana bran is a pretty tasty cereal. As for granola...my list could be a mile long, but my faves are Jordan's Country Crisp with raisins, or Marks & Spencers apple and cinamon crunch!

Special K cinnamon almond...yummm!

I tend to have rice krispies (abot 250 cal a bowl with skimmed milk) in the morning, but can have it as a snack or tea with some toast.

I do enjoy (hienz) beans and sausage on toast, which usually racks up to about 450 cal, but it keeps me going.

I love All bran-and frosted mini wheats. I love cheerios but I'm hungry an hour after I eat=

Kellog's Blueberry Frosted Mini Wheats.. they're like a crunchy blueberry poptart +0+ I don't even *like* blueberry poptarts much, but dayumm. This cereal is so goooood.

I've come to liking Grape Nuts too. I dunno if they're all that healthy, but meh. They're delish. My brother absolutely hates them, though.. I can understand why, though. I hated Grape Nuts when I first tried them too. :D

Post's Select Cranberry Crunch is pretty good too. I want to try Post Select Banana Nut crunch, though. +_+ It looks yuummy~!

For breakfast:
* Barabara's Puffins
* Barabara's Shredded Spoonfuls
* Trader Joe's High Fiber Cereal
* Nature's Path Flax Plus Cereal
* Nature's Path Optimum Power
* Grape-nuts
* Shredded wheat
+ steel-cut oats, regular oats, multi-grain blends, wheat & rye flakes

For snacks, all of the above + Kashi Go Lean & Weetabix. I like my cereal, as you can tell :)
