Favorite Diet Foods
What are the foods that you have found to be especially good as well as low calorie or low fat? Or, maybe you've found a food that is low calorie but really fills you up or something that tastes divine with very few calories?
my favorites are: Coke Cherry Zero, low-cal veggie soup, tomatoes, and SmartPop popcorn
*a friend of mine makes a really delicious fruit dip by combining a fat-free yogurt with sugar-free coolwhip--lemon yogurt is really delicious with honeydew melon and canteloupe
you should pick up the book, "eat this not that" you'd be surprised at the stuff we dieters eat that is really misleading and not very good for us.....you can find the book at Amazon, I picked it up at Borders...it's been my bible when I go grocery shopping.
Check it out let me know
My favorite afternoon snack is reduced fat/skim string cheese. In addition raw vegies to dip in fat-free or reduced fat dressings, the 90 cal. mint/choclate quaker mini rice cakes, and the NoPudge brownies that you make with yogurt because you can make a single serving in the microwave and it only takes a minute!
I love that smart pop popcorn too (especially the kettle corn 100 cal. packs)
I hope more people put up ideas!!!![]()
Fruits, vegetables, 72% or bitter sweet dark chocolate from Trader Joes.

Kelp Noodles, Yam Noodles, Tomato Paste, Cherry Tomatoes, Cabbage, Olives, Bell Peppers, Nori Sheets, Spaghetti Squash, Mushrooms & Kale "Chips"
Discovered today, Thinsations Oreo candy bites. DELICIOUS. 100 calories per pack, great for sweet tooths to pick at during the day.
Subway veggie delite subs, no sugar added fudgesicles, 3 musketeers mint bars, diet bread, veggie soups of all sorts, morningstar fake chicken of all sorts, smartground (very good with some manwich sauce which is surprisingly not that bad for you), and just about any creative thing you can do with vegetables.
Sparkling water, low fat hummous, small packs of veggie soup, beans, cottage cheese, melba toast (great crunched up and added to soups like croutons), low fat greek yoghurt over some tinned fruit (omnomnomnom *dribbles*).
Of course, you can have anything you like in moderation! I had steak and mashed potato and mushy peas and cottage cheese and a glass of wine for my dinner yesterday - but not the massive portion size I used to! :)
My new favourite: Skinny Cow Ice creams.
Only 87 calories per stick, and the stick is a decent size! The ice cream is so delicious and is perfect for an after-noon snack!
Other than that: air popped popcorn, diet coke <3, cherry tomatoes, eggs!
Mmmmmm... yeah... I LOVE snacking on Tomato Paste or Nori Sheets!
I always have a good supply of non-fat yogurts, greek yogurts, bananas, apples and frozen fruit, oatmeal is always a good satisfying afternoon snack, Orville Reb. 100 calorie popcorn bags

So yummy!! Sugar free.. 10 calories.. 100%vitamin C 4g- carb.. They have them at Sams club-- 40 in a box!! too bad I want to eat them all..LMAO
I don't find too many diet foods to be good... only fruit and vegetables.. I would rather have the whole grain.. real food... my problem... I can't get the portions under control!!
Kashi Go Lean Cereal and Skim mild. Very filling, full of fiber and protein.
My ultimate diet snack is puffed rice, vanilla yogurt and unsweetend cocoa powder all mixed together. YUM! Also unsweetened carob. It tastes soooo good just by itself. Somebody mentioned No Pudge brownies, and I just wanted to say-- DITTO! They are AWESOME! One of those with some vanilla yogurt on top is just exquisite. I am OBSESSED with yogurt. It's a miracle food.

These rock!!
I also love Unsweetened almond milk, unsweetend dark cocoa powder, FF Greek Yogurts, Pickles and Boca burgers (ofcourse I have tons but those are just a few to name!)
OMG! Kashi Dark Chocolate & Cherry granola bars (120 cals). Butternut squash fries. Cut it in half and then slice up into fry shapes & bake for 40 minutes. Not quite the real thing but a tasty alternative!
Cheerios ... it fills me up, its about 100 calories, and I can munch on it slightly absentmindedly, which is a habit I miss. I pour out a cup of cheerios and snack while watching TV or checking my emails or whatever. Fills me up more than I would have expected!
I love frozen fruit- it has few calories and tastes like your eating popsicles, also the sugar free dark chocolate Jell-O cups are amazing- you can't even tell it is sugar free
I like to mix bran flakes in w/ fat free yogurt... bran is healthier than granola, fills me up and it adds a nice texture to the yogurt! I also bought a juicer and bring fresh juice with me to work... it's a great alternative in the afternoon when I crave something sweet. I also found these great chicken sausages (hartmann's I think makes them, they have them at Wegmans grocery stores) for lunch... only about 90 calories and I put red sauce on them.. practically a healthy meatball sub!
Jello, The diet one. Just Love it, i don't care if it is water with colorants, it's delicious.
sweet potatoes. even as a side with dinner.. so good for you, and make me so full!!
