Favorite Frozen diet TV dinners

Quote  |  Reply
Being on Southbeach has made me forget about a lot of other TV dinners but the below taste too good to be "DIET":

Southbeach SAVORY BEEF WITH CHEESY BROCCOLI : has a great baked roast flavor and the cheesy sauce on broccoli is amazing!

Southbeach CAPRESE CHICKEN WITH BROCCOLI & CAULIFLOWER: again the sauce on that chicken is amazing.

Southbeach BREAKFAST WRAPS ALL AMERICANL:   a 200 calorie breakfast never tasted this good and so filling I often eat one for lunch! They use egg whites to reduce calories but youd never know it.

Lean Cuisine Butternut Squash Ravioli.  Delicious!

Lean Cuisine Steak and Cheddar panini - I put hot sauce on it and it tastes like a steak quesadilla from TB!

LC pepperoni pizza (so freaking amazing I have a very hard time believing it's under 400 calories!!)

LC vegetable eggroll

LC ravioli

Smart Ones swedish meatballs

I gave the butternut squash a whirl after hearing all the raves, but I must not have a taste for squash because I couldn't even get through it :(  It had a very sweet taste.
I love the Lean Cuisine 4 mushroom pizza....sooooo yummy!
Thats true about butternut squash having an almost sweet taste but I love it.  The idea of it in a ravoli i amazing to me - so inventive for a TV dinner.

I didnt know their was an eggroll that was diet - very cool.

Recommendations is so helpful since there are so many to pick from  and I KNOW not everyone else out there is cooking so *bump*.

I LOVE the South Beach Diet Caprese style Chicken!!!  Its wonderful.

I also enjoy the Heatlhy Choice pizzas.   The frenchbread pizza has a sweeter sauce than the flat whole wheat crust pizza, but also good.

I just tried the SBD chicken ceasar wrap, and the turkey bacon wrap, also very good!

I like the HC Turkey breast with cranberry sauce... comes with green beans and peaches

HC Creamy Dill Salmon

HC Chicken Alfredo

HC BBQ chicken

HC Garlic Shrimp Pasta

hmmmmm you think I eat too many frozen meals?? LoL I only eat 1 per day, 5 days a week for lunch...  the selections are getting so much better! :)

I love the Smart ones Three cheese Ziti and the Swedish meatballs!  VERY yummy!!!

I love most of the Healthy choice meals. I get them without the dessert because most of the desserts are nasty.
The Smart Ones three cheese ziti is amazing --

I also really love LC sesame chicken, and santa fe beans and rice.

The SouthBeach stuff is really good.  Just had the Chicken and Penne in creamy red pepper sauce with broccoli - it's hard to believe that was a "diet" meal!  And their chicken and veggie pizza is great.

I also like the the Lean Cuisine panini's.

My favorite is Smart Ones Santa Fe Rice 'n Beans.  It's really filling for only 300 cals!
Amy's Vegetable Lasagna. SOOO good and only 300cals! that and a salad with lite dressing and i am stuffed.
Smart Ones always has good pasta, Healthy choice paninis or those steamers which are good, also they have the best quality chicken out of most brands I've tried, Lean cusine pizzas of any kind.

i just tried the Lean Cuisine Thai Chicken and was surprised how good it was.  It comes in a red flavorful sauce with some seasoned rice with a hint of coconut.  I ended up mixing it all together and found it nummy. :D

Not a frozen dinner but in the same vein, the South Beach wraps are great too.  So cute.  All the fixins to make two little wraps and a sugar free jello.  My favorite is the Sesame Chicken.

This is a great thread.  I prefer to cook my own foods, but hell if it isn't convenient to occasionaly have already made stuff with the calorie counting done for you.
Great thread, just what I was looking for! I like having this stuff on hand for those busy or too-hot-to-cook days, but my problem is finding stuff that actually tastes edible. Looks like I have some suggestions to try. :D

I usually keep LC Roasted Potatoes with Broccoli and cheddar cheese sauce in the freezer. Love the Thai chicken but I can't find it in the store anymore. :( I liked the Sante Fe beans and rice, too, but I got sick of it, hehe.
I'm glad these meals are around, they save a lot of time for busy women! BUT just make a note of the sodium (i.e., salt) content in these foods. Often they use salt as a preservative to keep these meals flavorful. I don't recall which one, but I ate a Lean Cuisine meal one time that in it's one little box had 40% of my daily recommended sodium intake! Excess sodium is not good for us, esp. anyone with blood pressure problems. Anyway just a thought - there are still some great options out there! :)

Amy's Indian palaak paneer, mattar paneer, and vegetable korma

Trader Joes' spinach lasagna, sesame soba noodles

Pretty much anything from the Seeds of Change label.

:)  Not sure if these would be classified as 'diet' meals, but they are certainly healthy!

Those Lean Cuisine paninis are good and though they don't look big they are really filling. The chicken/spinach/mushroom one is only 280 cals, tastes good and is filling!
Michelina's Lean Gourmet 5 Cheese Pizza. Delectable. Is it only in Canada? Our selection sucks, but the pizza is really good for 280 calories.

Oh yeah! I just bought more diet frozen meals and I'm doing this again! Lost about 80 pound so far doing this from the start! They really get tiring if ya have a lot of weight to lose! Be careful with the sodium amount! I like to snack on fresh veggies and fruit in between the meals. My downfall is at night because sometimes the meals can be too restrictive with the calories!

Good luck! And happy eating!

I absolutely love Lean Cuisine's Garlic Chicken Pizza.  I love garlic, and it has pieces of real garlic on it, yummy! The other pizzas from Lean Cuisine are also very good, but that one is my fave.

Lean Cuisine Chicken Carobanara is also one of my favorites... it's just so good!

I have found that although I really like the ease of the frozen dinners, they aren't always filling enough for me. So I take some bagged frozen veggies and add them in, that way I feel like I have so much more food, and it doesn't add many calories at all.
