What are your favorite healthy snack foods??
Hey just looking for some new snack foods...here's some of my favorites
frozen blueberries/mangos
bananas
kashi go lean crunch
raisins
almonds
dried apricots
vanilla yogurt
edamame
i need some new ideas!
- other flavours of yogurt (strawberry, peach, etc)
- frozen grapes
- frozen raspberries
- 100-calorie packs of pretty much anything
- popcorn (orville redenbacher has a kind called "smartpop" that is low-fat/low-cal)
- fiber one cereal
- rice cakes
- carrot sticks and hummus
- cherry tomatoes
- hot chooclate (some brands have as low as 25 calories per serving)
- and more, the possibilities are endless!
- Apples
- Kiwis
- Pears
- A big home made salad seasoned with black pepper, dijorn mustard and quality soy sauce.
- Greek yogurt mixed with cottage cheese.

bakes tostitos and salsa
celery with natural peanut butter
veggies and salsa
- beef/turkey/whatever jerky (low-sodium, if you can find it)
- low-fat string cheese
- Fat-free pudding
- Plain yogurt with fresh fruit mixed in.
- Fiber one bars
- Broccoli
- Almonds
- Banana
- Kashi 7 grain crackers with Laughing Cow cheese spread. (wonderful and low cal)
- Kiwi
- Lettuce leaf with slices of turkey and some swiss cheese rolled up.
- Frozen grapes
- Roasted red pepper hummus and baby carrots
- a super pretzel soft pretzel w/ a slice of f/f american melted on it
- a bowl of cereal with almond breeze
- cottage cheese
- mini rice cake pizzas made w/ tomato sauce, f/f mozzarella, parmesan on 2 white cheddar rice cakes
- mini pretzel twists and salsa
Sugar free pudding cups
Sweet Potatos (pre cooked..I'll eat them cold)
Bananas
Small serving of sunflower seeds or pretzels
Pickles!
Half an apple with a touch of peanut butter
String cheese
A serving of any vegetable soup
Low fat cottage cheese, sometimes with a little salsa
A bowl of oatmeal (old fashioned, Quaker) with maybe some fresh fruit stirred in
100 calorie bags of cheez its or cookies (occasionally..trying to nix sugar)
Half a bagel with 0 calorie butter spray
Sugar free jello
A whole whea tortilla with 1 hard boiled egg, salt pepper and butter spray
That comes to 200-some odd calories
A turkey hot dog minus the bun with some mustard for dipping
5 tyson chicken nuggets for 170 calories
A popsicle that is 45 calories
An orange
Slice of whole wheat toast with butter spray or low sugar jam..or both
Fruit salad. Melon, berries..I love fruit salad
Raisins in those small boxes
1 soft pretzel..the kind you can buy at the grocery store and nuke. (when I'm being 'bad" i might dunk it into salsa con queso dip)
Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches
Turkey jerky
graham crackers
fresh fruit salad
apple with PB
rice cakes, all flavors
chips w/ dip
1 svg of cashews
winner mixes for me:
apple with yougurt nonfat apricot flavored
carrot with peanutbutter
a slice or two of ham with whole weath crakers
raisins with low fat cheese feta
any kind of fruit
protein shakes flavored with milk
smoothie of watermelon, nonfatmilk and strawberries (with stevia)
banana with crakers
whole weath toast with cinnamon powder, and pears, choped, heated in the microwave with stevia (or apples)
riccota cheese with honey... yummy.
Cherry Tomatoes
Raw Cabbage + Olive Tapenade
Nori Sheets
Kelp Noodles or Yam Noodles
Bell Peppers
Kale or Eggplant "Chips"
Tomato Paste + Spaghetti Squash
Marinated Artichoke Hearts (in olive oil)
Hard Boiled Eggs
I am totally into pickles now since I am avoiding chips most of the time..
Dannon plain nonfat yogurt with 2 splenda with fiber and cinnamon
smoothie with same n/f yogurt, frozen unsweetened fruit and a banana(splenda too)
celery sticks
carrot sticks with 2 tbs hummus
cucumber slices with lime chili stuff for fruit on it(watch the sodium)
1/2 corn with the same chili/lime stuff on it
string cheese(should try the low fat, but like the real one)
I am having a hard time vearing from this since I am allergic to nuts and only eat chicken and turkey....my protein intake is not sooo good. btw, allergiv to seafood too....
