Favorite "Magic Bullet" or Blender Recipes?
I just opened my magic bullet, and created a butternut squash soup (wasn't happy how it turned out, but that's besides the point) and really was thinking about other things I could make in there.
The only things I can come up with are to satisfy a sweet tooth, or to make shakes. (milk shakes, apple sauces, jams)
What are some other ideas? Soups? Meals? Sauces? I need recipes I can throw in this thing that are decently filling, and lower on the calorie side.
You could do a homemade spaghetti sauce, I have done so with my food processor. With a red sauce, you can add anything you like! I would suggest roasting some garlic cloves (~in foil @ 400ish for 20 minutes until soft), sautéing some onions, using your favorite canned tomatoes (or fresh, I suppose) and any thing else you like in your sauce... go to town!
Dice up mushrooms or other veggies (if you like that sort of thing) and add to the sauce after you magic-bullet it for a chunky texture.
I made some falafel with mine a while back and it turned out really well. I used this recipe http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Vegan-Friendly-F alafel/Detail.aspx with parsley instead of cilantro. I bake/broil mine instead of frying. Using a whole pound of beans makes a LOT though, so especially if you haven't tried it before I would make half what it calls for.
