I wasn't sure where to post this... but I have discovered a new healthy and filling snack I would like to share with people.

1 serving of angel food cake (I rip it into pieces)

1 fiber one yogurt (I use the strawberry flavored but I'm sure you could use any)

5 medium strawberries sliced up

.5 cup of blueberries

Mix it all together in a bowl and it is really a good size portion. The way I make it is 226 calories and is wayyyy better than any cake. I def don't feel guilty about eating this and I think it tastes better than cake too.

Any one else has healthy, delicious, and filling snacks??

that. sounds. amazing.

where are you from, by the way?

i'm from canada, and we don't have fiber 1 yogurt here :|

That does sound delicious. My favorite healthy and filling snack is exactly that, only I use fiber one cereal or puffed wheat cereal in place of the angel food cake, and a different type of yogurt. Next time I have angel food cake though, I'll be sure to save a slice to make your snack the next day.

I am from Mass :-) Fiber One is new around here so maybe it'll be coming your way soon.

I like Fiber One cuz they are full of flavor and it seems to be the perfect amount of yogurt (when the containers are too big I get sick of it quickly).

The cereal idea sounds good too. I buy the small single servings of angel food cake so when I don't have time to pick those up I will try out the cereal. Thank

I don't know if you care for chocolate and fudgy chewy  brownies, but if so, look for and try NOPUDGE (visit their Website) nopudge dot com.

You simply add a tablespoon or so of lowfat yogurt (I use vanilla flavored) to their mix, nuke it for about 1 minute, and I'm telling you -- it's as good as any Duncan Hines or Betty Crocker. SERIOUSLY.

I love angel food cake w/ about 5 sliced strawberries and a few tablespoons of lite Cool Whip.  About 130 calories for the BEST strawberry shortcake!

I'm a HUGE fan of fudgy brownies so I will definitly be trying that out!

Cool whip would be especially good when I can't fit in the extra calories from the yogurt. Good idea :-)

Also I bought the Hungry Girl recipe book and there seems to be a lotttt of good things in there. They even have all different alcoholic drinks for 100-150 or so calories. Can't go wrong with that!

Thank you for this post.  I tried it today and it was delish!!!!!

I used the AF cake, Blueberry Yogart with the sliced strawberries.  I'm not a big fan of yogart, but this was soooo gooooood.  This satified my tasted for strawberry shortcake and blueberry muffins all in one dish.

Lately, I like cutting up an apple, shaking some cinnamon on it, then eating it with natural PB and raisins. Easy and simple :)

So glad you liked it. I never even thought about using blueberry yogur, that sounds really good. I also tried it with sliced bananas which was really good. I'm sure any fresh fruit would be delicious!

I like cutting up an apple and baking it and sprinkling cinnamon on it.

I also like to take a little container of yogurt and dump a packet of hot cocoa mix in it. It's kind of a weird chocolatey taste but I like it and maybe I'm hard up for something chocolate.
