My favorite pair of jeans....

Quote  |  Reply

FIT!  Oh my goodness.  I am shocked.  I was feeling a little on the thin side after finding out that my home scale is reading on the heavy side so I decided to see how far up my thigh I could pull my fav jeans.  I was shocked to find out that they fit and fit me well.  A few hours later I pulled out another pair of jeans that were slightly smaller.  AND they fit, a little snug, but definitely good enough to wear in public without any muffin top or anything.   I haven't worn those jeans in two years.  I'm a little surprised.  At 146lbs I didn't expect to fit into a size 9 (I wear juniors sizes still).  Maybe it's because I've been working out?  More muscle and less fat?  In the past I've always just lost weight through starving dieting.  I guess losing it the healthy way does have its benefits.   Anyone else busting out their old clothes that ceased to fit them?  Now I'm more motivated than ever.   Wink

Only 16lbs left to go............

Congrats!

My first pair of "goal jeans" just happened to fit me perfectly onthe day that I went to see Bon Jovi and Daughtry in concert...I also got a complimant from the drummer of Daughtry that night....those are for sure lucky jeans!

Contrats!

I've not pulled out any old cloths, but here's my jean story. Finally broke down around Feb and bought a pair of jeans that fit. (I don't wear jeans often, so it killed me to have to buy new ones when my "old" ones don't have that much wear.) Then in mid June i found CC and started watching my intake. September rolled around and I had need of the new jeans (which at this point I had only worn twice). So on they go and out I went. Luckily I had planned to come back home around lunch time, because by that point I was tired of trying to keep the "new" jeans from slipping down/off!

There was one side of me that was thrilled to really see the weight loss. But on the other hand... "D**n, I just bought those thing!"

Congratulations! I went to put my best jeans on the other day and they don't fit, thus I'm back on calorie count. But kudos! Hopefully I'll be where you are soon!

I pulled out an unforgiving size six pair of gap jeans today. I knew they wouldn't fit but, like you, I wanted to see how far I could get them up. I hung mine over my bedroom door. I'm going to try every week until they fit.

Congratulations, hope to be there with you soon.

I have been picking up jeans and other slightly worn clothes at our thrift shops in town.  most are brand new, and who can pass up 2.00-or3.00. their shirts are 1.00.  I  bought one whole bag of clothes for 1.00 and got a really nice pair of jeans in i ( they let you pick out the clothes you want to put into the bag).  after vac. I finally fit into those jeans. they say size 16, but I know I am a size 18-20. still it made me feel good to finally pull them up and zip them too. wow. the stuff they get in at our thrift shops are mostly in style now.not yesteryear trash. although I still like the yesteryear stuff too.  when you are changing sizes often it helps to have stuff that fits to make you feel good about yourself. I am buying 14's now for a few months down the road.  I have lost 70 lbs and want to lose about 45 more. look at the jeans not fitting any more as good thing and pass them and get you some new ones!!! you don't have to pay retaill to get good stuff. resale shops have good stuff too, slightly higher than thrift shops.

Hey fallingstars! Nicely done!

Oh yeah, I've had this happen.

Thanks for the motivational reminder. I was having a 'fat' moment because I just stuffed myself with unnecessary food. But I feel skinny now, being reminded that the baggy jeans I'm wearing right now use to pinch me at every crease and tug at every contour.  Now they're as comfy as a pair of sweats.

OMG! at my lowest weight i was size lie 5ish (australian size, which is really small) in these camo pants, they were my fave from my fave shop.....i tried them on once i gained all the weight back and BROKE the button!! ahahhaa i was ssooo happy. to make up for my loss in awesome clothes mum brought me a new pair, same pants like 6 sizes bigger, im now an 11!!! to give you an idea most people my age would be between size 12-14 maybe 16 at this shop.

I definitely had that moment when I bought a size 0 jean and size 26 jean  not long ago... I was surprise they fit me because I thought I just was a size 2. My friend says size 2's too big on me now which is really amazing O_O

Awesome! Congratulations.  Enjoy the feeling you worked hard for it!

that is so wonderful!!!!

i have a pair of jeans that i've been fighting with for a while. hah. i can button them and all of that -- but they're a little too snug for the public. They always been tight on me and I bought them 3 years ago (they did fit though)! So hopefully they'll be loose soon. I can't wait!

yeh! good for you i love the feeling of loose jeans, the best feeling in the world.  good luck on reaching you next goals.
