What are your favorite (store bought) soups? I've really only had healthy choice and progresso vegetable with rice soups based on their nutrition info. From what I find, most soups have sooo much sodium it is ridiculous. A while back I bought broccoli cheese soup from campbell's but i can't bring myself to intake so much sodium - i really want it though! And I just do not have the time to make my own soup. Any suggestions? Thanks.
You should try Amy's Kitchen organic low sodium soups! They're good, have great nutritionals, and waaaay less crap than other soups! Strangely enough, I always find myself adding a pinch of salt to it, but I'd rather add salt myself if needed than have something that's got too much salt in it to begin with! Check out the variety @ their website (lower sodium soups are at the bottom).
those look good! thanks. i hope my grocery store has them
The Stop & Shop I go to has a special organic/vegetarian foods section, near the produce department, and that's where these soups are. Hope that helps!
i was going to say amy's kitchen! i think you can actually get them at costco/superstore....they're still really high in sodium (which you can't get away from if you are buying store bought soup)...but they're high in fibre and not really any additives
i like the progresso light soups, i believe its only 60 cals for a serving! but w/ regards to the sodium, i know campbells just came out with a new soup that is just like progresso light but with low sodium so i believe i'll check it out!

I agree. I really love Amys organic black bean. Also CP shrimp wonton soup is great too! You can buy it online if its not in your area here http://www.cpthaithai.com/home/products_cp_01 .html.
I love lentil soups and my moms beef soup.
Umm, what other soup? Maybe minestrone but I don't really like the noodles because they get really thick if you leave them in too long. Also, miso soup and soup with tamarind powder. I like sour soups.
I love Butternut Squash soup. But even that is very high sodium (I buy Campbell's brand at 27% sodium per cup :( too high
turkey chili, chicken tortilla (although, i don't really want a lot of 'tortilla' in this soup), and hearty tomato are at the top of my favs.
Progresso Southwestern Style Vegetable.
Its more filling than it sounds because it has black beans. I dont usually do spicy but its just spicy enough and has a great flavor.
Also Progresso has come out with some low sodium versions of light soups - havent tried any yet.
