Favorite Weight Loss Foods!!!
So, right now, I am in love with....
-fat free, sugar free chocolate pudding. The kind I buy has 45 calories and 10% calcium (which i don't get enough of on most days anyway...) So much better than any other dessert!
-Laughing Cow Cheese (light kind). This is so delicious! You can have two wedges w/ a serving of crackers for 200 calories.... I'll have it as part of lunch sometimes :-)
-Fiber One with light yogurt. OMG. 140 calories and it takes so long to eat and really fills me up. I wish I could use this as my breakfast, but yogurt doesn't sound good to me until I'm up and about.
dannon light and fit carb and sugar control yogurt. Yummm.
Balance Bar Carbwell in peanut butter chocolate. It's 200 cals, but it gets an A in the analysis, and I have a problem reaching my calorie goals.
Quaker weight control oatmeal in banana bread. Loaded with protein and fiber!!
Quaker simple Harvest granola bars in chocolate chunk.
Skinny cow icecream sandwiches...SUPER yummy with 140 cal, and 97% fat free
EDIT***
I also have been buying several pints of strawberries and eating them with lite whipped cream. My 4 yr olds favorite!!
heh well I don't drink water (it is one of my major malfunctions XD), so any no-calorie flavored drink is a favorite for me.
And then... I don't like processed foods otherwise, so apples, oranges, nuts, strawberries (I have been eating pints of them lately), plain yogurt (not low-fat or fat-free, but whole yogurt - filling and tasty and still not very high in calories), oatmeal, soymilk...
well, I guess I don't see those as diet foods, either. They're food foods, and yum yum yummy :)
OMG... I love the Laughing Cow cheese wedges. I tried them for the first time last week and they are def. going to be a staple in my fridge.
I also love the Weight Watchers Fudge pops. They are only 60 calories and they taste just like the full fat and sugar ones. Yummy! Only as an every once and awhile treat though.
I found Thomas English Muffins that are whole grain and only a 100 calories. I have one almost every morning for breakfast with I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Spray or peanut butter and a serving of whatever fruit I have on hand.
Almost any yogurt is a new favorite of mine, especially the Weight Watcher Cherry Cheesecake flavor.
Cottage cheese or fat free whipped topping with fruit.
I crave salty snacks so every once and awhile I will have some Rold Gold Fat Free Pretzels or the new Lays Light Chips (they are fat free and only 75 calories for the single servings bags).
Smart Balance Low Fat popcorn is my favorite!
-Best breakfast food ever: 1/2C plain 1% yogurt mixed with 1t honey, cinnamon, 10 almonds and 1T raisins. YUM. Pair it with a peice of fruit and it's a very balanced and filling breakfast. I never used to eat breakfast, so this has made a huge difference.
-Yves soy products (pepperoni, "ground beef") A little high in sodium but high in protein and almost no fat - makes for awesome pita pizza and veggie chili
skinny cow caramel bars...omgosh...so good
yoghurt with sunflower seeds
low cal whip cream.
yves veggie products...the meatballs and hotdogs are so good
brown rice and salsa
i was looking for cereal bars to just take with me to work as a small snack, and the special k ones are 90 cals each, so i grabbed peaches and berries, and OHMYGOD those are so good. i have to stop myself from eating them haha
radishes (almost no cals). i just dipped some in chutney-very tasty.
tofu.
fiber one yogurt...extremely tasty and only 80 cal...with all that fiber goodness.
FudgeSicles soooo tasty and low cal
for breakfast I love the staple; 2 eggs (cage free organic) 140 cal, 2 strips of lower sodium bacon 70 cal. Natures own wheat bread 1 slice 40 cal and go lean veggie sausage..added to my meal to help fill me up...only 50 cal for 2 patties...vs over 200 for like jimmy dean.
Nutri-Grain Fruit and Yogurt Bars. The Strawberry is awesome! The regular cereal bars are okay but the ones with the yogurt? I could eat them all day.
EGG WHITES!!!!!! I mix them with salsa in the morning with a high fiber low cal tortilla or mix them with veggies and low cal cheese for dinner or lunch. Keeps me full for hours and hours. I actually notice that on days that I don't have them for breakfast I eat far more calories.
Fiber One chocolate chip bars 140 calories and taste like the regular fatty chewy granola bars with tons of fiber :)
Ziploc steamer bags i know its not a food, but you can put veggies and meat in there and cook for under 5 minutes and you have a meal
Kelp noodles virtually no calories great for salads and asian dishes with seafood!
Turkey bacon only 35 calories a slice. I have it with my egg whites and tortilla for a great breakfast burrito that keeps me full and on track all day
I could go on and on but these are my recent favs :)
100 calorie popcorn packs! The kettle corn is my fav...sweet and salty and takes a long time to eat...love it
i love crunchy/crsipy foods for snacks so i usually eat
Rice Cakes (assorted Flavors) ...settles the potato chip, or cookie craving. 100 Calories or less.
Muscle Milk Light Milk Shake....its a protein shake with alot of vitamins, i usually blend it plain with the watter when im on the run...but when i want a treat i add ice, assorted fruits and it makes for a delicous shake for desert or mid day lunch replacement (depending how hearty you make it)...Plain is under 200 calories...with fruit (1 bannana, strawberries... its about 300)
Assorted veggies dipped in fat free ranch dressing...the dressing isnt so good but it makes eating my veggies more enjoyable.
This Store by my house sells these veggie hot wings (no chicken)...they taste pretty good and are baked not fried...owner claims 5 wing pieces is under 200 calories and they taste pretty damn good.
At the same store there are these light spunge cake cups that i fill with fruit and maybe whip cream on top...its a great lil desert and is very filling.
I second the 94% fat free popcorn mini bags
fat free, sugar free chocolate pots
skinny cow icecream sandwhiches
slice of whole wheat toast with PB or AB
but my fave snack, guaranteed to get me through the morning without any hunger pangs...1/2 cup cottage cheese with diced apple and cinnamon... totally yummy and tastes kinda like cheese cake!
Edamame beans! They do SO well getting me through the munchies--1/2 cup for 100 calories, and Vitamin A, C, and dietary fiber!
I love, for breakfast, breaking up a Special K bar and putting it into a Light and Fit yogurt--only 150 calories!
I am loving the klondike 100 calorie ice cream bars. They are better than most of the "regular" ice cream bars out there.
Low cal salad dressing. I eat tons of salad....tons. So having at least 6 different types of dressing in my fridge is a nessesity. That way I never get bored.
I love love sour cream....but thought I couldnt have it. Today I found a fat free version with only 20 cals for a 2 tablespoon serving. That with a little plain hot sauce and suddenly every thing just tastes better. lol
2% cottage cheese - pretty low calorie, lots of protein, filling - I'll eat this when it's the end of the day and I'm still a bit hungry.
rice cakes - love the white cheddar flavoured ones, I'm a salty snack person too.
dill pickles - 3 calories for 2 pickles!
