favorite workout music?
Depending on mood, I also love to listen to Funk and Disco. (There's nothing like trying to hit a high note with the BeeGees while you're half out of breath running!)
I also like Snow Patrol (the songs Hands Open, Shut Your Eyes, Spitting Games), Muse (Supermassive Black Hole, Stockholm Syndrome), CSS (Music is My Hot, Hot Sex) ...lol
and a ton of other bands like Motion City Soundtrack, She Wants Revenge, Paramore, etc..
I also like listening to loud, upbeat songs in different languages (I have a ton of random stuff in Japanese, Spanish, and German on my iPod)
Nothing gets me going like slightly angry industrial dance music (Assemblage 23). Or some melodic metal (Soilwork). Or Hardcore (Dillinger Escape Plan.)
Nine Inch Nails? Shoot.
Anything I guess. Yay music!

Delicious Assemblage. I <3 Tom Shears and got to see him at Small's in Detroit! *Dancedancedance*
I like industrial too. Combichrist, Razed In Black, Run Level Zero, and Tactical Sekt are all on my exercise playlists.
Nice to see other people listening to rock and metal rather than the usual dance stuff they have on.
Gojira (very good for weight training) Machine head, Meshuggah and the like here.
I have everything on my iPod, from Buckcherry, Floyd, Skynyrd, Robert Miles, Dar Williams, Metallica, Cheap Trick, all sorts of other late 70's/80's hard rock/hair bands, I even have a few hip-hop, rap songs, though I'm not sure I like the hip-hop it doesn't have the beat good old heavy metal has.
Though Ram Jam's Black Betty and Buckcherry's Crazy B*#ch have to be my fav songs
Lately I listen to The Gathering, Ayreon, Nightwish, Volbeat, & Turisas for a nice mix of both heavy and slow music. Listening to 12 minute long songs also really helps make the time go by while on the eliptical.
Probably will add some Raintime, Elvenking, & Unexpect soon.
Rise Against, Bullet for My Valentine, Silverstein, The Loved Ones
Rise Against is probably my favorite.
Check out Motiontraxx.com Its a FREE website that has podcasts. The website's saying is "Fuel for running", but its music for any activity. If you like aternative rock and dance/house music...its great! Hope you like what they have to offer.
Any music that I made love to the night before usually gets me motivated.
I love making work out playlists! I use limewire (i'm cheap) but I like upbeat, fast paced music (rap, hip hop or rock usually). I can't imagine working out to slow music. Actually I read a study a while back saying that those that workout with music (it didn't specify a type) could workout longer and harder. Cool, huh?
Some of my favorites are: Eminem's "Lose Yourself," Jet's "Cold Hard Bitch," Kings of Leon's "California Waiting," The Ting Ting's "That's Not My Name," Britney Spears' "Toxic" and "My Perogative" just to name a few. I also have a wide variety on my iPod...some days I am looking for beach music; some days I need hard core rap.
