Favourite 'Unique' Food
Anyway, I was wondering.. does anyone have something they eat that makes others cringe or go... "what on Earth IS that?!".
I think my worst (and stinkiest) is hardboiled eggs mixed with sardines!
Reason: Released as sticky
Foie gras, chicken feet, tripe, and pig trotter =]
My oatmeal with peanut butter and cut up banana. I used to take it to work in a container (dry) and it literally looked like dirt with turds in it.
well, i'm in highschool and none of my friends give a rat's butt about health so.. most of what i eat receives a "what in the hell are you eating?"
one time i brought a sandwich to school on rye bread and my boyfriend at the time said "what was that black thing you were eating earlier?" hahah.
and i got alot of comments about my cream cheese, hummus and celery sandwiches.. and my soynuts lol.
Chicken feet, tripe, sashimi, eel, liver. Snake was quite tasty too. I eat weird stuff :p.

I'm pretty sure there's a restaurant around here that serves that.
The only thing that I eat that some people think is weird is not really weird IMO. But, it's waffles with peanut butter on them and a banana sliced inbetween. I put it together like a sandwich. That used to be my morning staple until I started trying to lose weight. Now, I need to find some low-cal waffles and PB. That's really the only thing I miss being able to eat. It comes in at around 550 calories, which I feel is too much for breakfast, but maybe not. I try to keep breakfast around 400 so that I can have a mid-morning snack (yogurt usually).

hey ohtobethinagain: try Eggo Special K 99% Fat Free Waffles...two waffles are only 120 calories. bananas are about 110, and pb2 on bellplantation.com is an awesome investment...two tablespoons of this magical peanut butter=54 calories :)

i like nori wrapped around seasoned mashed potatoes. : )
Strawberries dipped in peanut butter.
Melba toast used to scoop crumbled fat free feta.
Nori wrapped around sweet potato. (kind of curious about the seasoned mashed potatoes idea)
A lot of my friends just think I'm weird for trying to eat healthily at all, to be honest. But my family is helpful....very healthy. Friends come over and look in our pantry and are like WHAT cause they are used to their own being full of junkfood whereas ours has like...none.

Oh yeah, I like snake too. Too little meat ratio per bones though. And eel is my favorite fish to eat :D

I LOVE mixing peanut butter and jelly into vanilla ice cream.
Crisp, crunchy dill pickles are excellent with dark chocolate, even (and maybe especially) if it's chocolate ice cream.
Smoked salmon in ranch dressing.(not too weird? maybe?)
Nothing as cool as hardboiled eggs and sardines (ew, stinky), but at least unusual!
I had a friend in highschool that'd always order a frosty from Wendy's whenever we went, put her salt and pepper in it and use it to dip her fries. THAT was weird.
For a few reasons, first of all , its a tru ly whole grain bread, second is the cheese and jam.
but i would highly recommend it.
swiss and strawberry jam is awesome.
Every single day people ask me what the heck I am eating - I guess since I do not eat bread, carbs, sugars, fruits, etc my food just looks odd because it is in its natural state! ha ha!
Mostly people think it is odd that I eat my meat (grass-fed) really really rare! I also love EEL, HAMACHI COLLARS & ESCOLAR
* By the way - I LOVE the mixture of hard boiled eggs & sardines in olive oil - you should add some olives, artichoke hearts &/or green beans - You will thank me later! ha ha!
