Fazoli's pizza question...

Quote  |  Reply

I stopped by fazoli's and got 2 breadsticks and 2 slices of cheese pizza. These pizza slices were pretty small- maybe like a medium thin crust slice of pizza hut pizza. But I looked on here and it said a "double slice" was 500 calories! There is no freaking way that was 500 calories... It said something like double slice/mega slice, and idk what that means... According to the fazoli's website, what I got looked like the picture for the kid's pizza, and I looked at the calories on here for kid's cheese pizza and it was 380, I guessed 400 when I got it so do you think that's what it is instead?

I've been counting calories for a looong time and I'm a nutrition major so I'm usualloy pretty close, I just don't see how a small slice of this pizza can equal the calories in a LARGE slice of pizza hut pizza... I'm not trying to convince myself that it had less calories, it's just idk if I'm marking it wrong. I'd rather over-estimate than under so if you guys think it's the 500 then I'll put it, I just wanted a second opinion :-\

Edit: Here's what it looks like-http://fazolis.com/menu/ scroll to the bottom where it says "kids" and it was like that but cheese not pepperoni. Sorry if I'm making a super big deal out of this but it'll bug me if I don't ask someone else....

I'm not sure where you are looking, because when I look at the "Pizza" section, it says that a slice of cheese is 270 calories and a slice of pepperoni is 310 calories. Under the "Kids Meals" it is the same. I don't see anything about a double/mega slice. Hope this helps!

it looks like they got the servings at 4.3 oz per 310 cals so estimate around 75 cal per ounce? now did the kids meal give you 2 slices which will equal one reg slice? at that point if it weighs 4.3 it equals 310 cals? now i think maybe your feeling a little guilty and instead of those to bread sticks you should have had a salad?

I did have a salad... Today is my busy day so I'll probably only have a Luna Bar and maybe a light snack while at work, so if I need to adjust my calories to stay in my limit it's no problem, I'm just confused on what constitutes a "double slice" or what the difference is in the kid's meal etc.... I'll just count it as 500 for the "double slice" I guess, like I said I'd rather over-estimate than under

And megan the double/mega thing was on this site not the fazoli's sitehttp://caloriecount.about.com/cc/search.php?s earchpro=pizza&manu=44&x=0&y=0

according to Fazoli's website one slice of cheese pizza is 270 calories making TWO slices 540 calories...plain breadsticks are 100 each, garlic breadsticks are 150 each...

I do love Fazoli's!!  I'm just not active enough or have enough calories to eat much of it! ~sigh~

I did Turbo Jam for an hour so I'm feeling much better about it lol I only go out to eat (including fast food) about twice a month. I hate not knowing what's going into my food and the nutrition facts. I mean at least packaged stuff is weighed and is pretty close but getting stuff out is always so hard to judge >_<

Edit: Double post, my bad
