February Calorie Deficit Challenge - Newcomers always welcome!

Anyone who wants to share their total monthly weight loss, please do! Then we can all see how the math adds up (or doesn't!).

We all know that in order to lose weight you need to have a calorie deficit. This challenge is about that deficit!
You can sign up anytime by posting in this thread and indicating which group you want to be in.
We'll start counting on 2/1/09.

How it works
Each day you keep track of your calorie intake and calorie output, then compute your calorie deficit. You post in here (daily, weekly, whenever) your running deficit for the month in the form of: deficit to-date / goal deficit. Be sure to post a new post every time you post - do not edit previous posts or I will not see it! Also, be sure you keep track of your on-going total - I won't be doing the math for you!
For example
Let's say I want to lose five pounds this month. So, I sign up for the 17,500 Challenger group. On day 1 my calorie output is 2000 and my intake is 1500. That makes my day 1 deficit 500, so I post: 500/17,500. On day 2, my calorie output is 1800 and my intake is 1500, making my deficit 300. So, I add my day 2 deficit onto my day 1 deficit, and post: 800/17,500. On day 3, I didn't do so well and took in 2000 calories and burned 1800 calories. So, on day 3 I subtract the calories I took in over maintainence and I post my total montly deficit as 600/17,500. I haven't weighed myself because of having "the time of the month" and I always gain a lot during that time. I may go ahead and do it anyway tomorrow, I hope it wont make me cry.

I have noticed recently that my burn meter estimate keeps dropping. First it was 1910, then 1900 and this morning 1890. Is this related to weight loss or am I doing something wrong?

It is related to weight loss.
At first I used to burn around 1990 calories per day, and nowadays it's only 1830. Also, you tend burn less calories exercising when you log a lower weight. At first, for 20 minutes of calisthenics I would burn approx. 195 calories and now it's more like 185 calories. Makes it harder to reach the deficit you need.

Technically I water gained at middle point.
Loss from that point is 5.5 lb.

Yay! I made it =). It was hard but it was sooo worth it.
I lost... 15 pounds!!!
I'm so proud of myself. I know it's a lot more than the 6 pounds I was supposed to lose but I'm not going to complain.
It's my first month of dieting and exercising though, so I don't expect the next few months to be as easy as this one was.
All together 29156 / 24500 and I only lost 3 pounds this month ! I'm dissapointed because I did have good deficits and I went looking for hidden calories and didn't find any. I do have my period so I'll be kind to myself and blame that. If this continues along the same way this month too, I'll have a chat with my doctor I think. Still though with the two months challenges I've lost 12 pounds !
2/28 - 26809/28000. I was short 1191 for the month. Not too bad considering I decided to eat maintenance yesterday. I ended up burning about 200. My total weight loss was 6 pounds for the month. Though I am sure I will see more of a difference next week when I am not retaining and bloated. I am already gearing up for March. Thank you to everyone - I have not been able to make this journey without all of your support! The two challenges have made the scale drop 14 POUNDS!! Thank you!!!
I lost it around Valentine's Day and although I didn't binge or anything, for various reasons I didn't track calories or get to the gym. I'm not sure of my weight, but am hoping that I've maintained my loss from last month. On to the March challenge!
