Welcome to February!

Anyone who would like to join the challenge here are the guidelines.

* Email me your starting weight on date you start the challenge

* 3 points for each 15 minutes of workout time. This is structured workouts and there are no points for anything other than 15 minute intervals.

* 2 points each for every 8 ounces of water. Plain or bottle (No flavors)

* 1 point if challenge (physical or positive) is completed

* 1 point if you suggest a challenge

* Send your weight on February 1st. 1 point for each pound lost.
Person with the most points wins.

Note: You may suggest a physical or personal challenge at any time. Challenges can be completed at any time during the month as many times per month as you like. Don't forget to add the time you spend doing the physical challenges to your overall exercise time. For more on challenges, see post #56

PM all information to me. You do not need to post it on the thread. The thread is for Challenges, encouragement, and general chit-chat.

45 minutes of treadmill
completed side bend challenge (3 sets of 15)

Please send your information daily or every other day. If you go out of town please send info when you return broken down by dates.

I'm going to do my best to update points every day. Post or message me if you have any questions.

I did take the step of making my lunch for work yesterday and today.... baby steps, but huge when you're just not feeling motivated.

OK. First challenge- pre-breakfast workout. I read something on this website that you can burn more stored fat by doing a non-strenuous exercise before you eat breakfast. Just a slow walk, no panting. I'm giving it a try!
i'll try it  :D  i can use the motivation anyway.  there are alot of days i don't exercise at all & so maybe this will help me.  thanks!

Didn't even get my own pre-breakfast challenge in this weekend! Maybe during the work week since it is more regimented. Good luck to everyone if they go to super bowl parties. I have one to go to and I hope to be good! Keep earning those points!!
Count me in!  I don't have a great deal of "me" time, but this could definitely be a way to MAKE that time happen.  Even if it means getting up earlier to get more exercise in before I begin my day!

i did the challenge  :D  hey!  it's a challenge...  otherwise, i wouldn't have done it.

anyway, now i feel great!!!  i actually used that time to decide what i would eat for breakfast.  of course, it took me awhile to finally give in & get started, so breakfast was kinda late.

i think the point was to do it earlier  LOL  it WAS before breakfast though.

oh no!!!  a point for each fruit & vege now?!  ok...  i'll see what i can do  :(  man!  this challenge just might make me eat healthier...

great job so far! It's gonna be a competitive challenge this time!

Two points of clarification:

- you only need to report your starting weight on February 1 and your end weight on March 1 - I'll calculate the total amount of points you (hopefully) get from any pounds lost

- you now get 1 point for every serving of fruits and veggies you eat every day! just report it along with your water any exercise

how is everyone doing today??

hey sandlady - i'm good today. working on getting back to a normal sleep schedule

does anybody have good tips/techniques you use to help you fall asleep?
Happy midday to all. My big challenge today is to actually get a small workout in.... even if it is only 15 minutes. I'll let you know how I come out. I did have another healthy lunch today, so that is good news.
Yay for healthy lunches.

My favorite is Lean Cuisine Butternut Squash Ravioli - mmm.
