I've been really sticking to a 1000 to 1200 calorie diet, and sticking to a regular exercise regimen. I try to get physical activity every day, and really push myself at the gym. However, I feel fat and heavy.. like I'm too tired to hold myself in. It seems that the flab on my stomach is growing.


This is so discouraging, and I don't know what to do. I'm thinking about going to a GNC to ask them if there's something I can take to help maximize the results of my diet/exercise, because this sucks!

First thing to say is that sub 1200 cals is not healthy and you have to eat more.  1200 cals a day is the absolute bare minimum for a sedentary, middle-aged, adult female and if you're a young woman and you 'really push myself at the gym' you're basically eating far too little.   So it's not flab on your stomach that's making you feel this way or preventing weight-loss, it's malnutrition, fatigue, low-moods&nb sp;and a slowed metabolism all caused through lack of food.  

Work out what your body needs to maintain its weight and have a few days where you get that.  (Tip -  It's going to be 2000 cals+).   If you still need to lose weight after that deduct no more than 700 cals from your maintenance number....

BTW... losing weight to get your own back for being jilted can result in desperate and unhealthy strategies which sounds like where you are now.   Be careful your wish for revenge doesn't end up making you sick....

 

i know what you mean, ive eaten lower than the estimated calories and at the end of the day my stomach is so bloated and i feel huge. think it just hast to do with eating so few calories make the stomach bloat

That's probably right... I'm going to up my calories to around 1700 to 2000 cals a day, and keep pushing my muscles at the gym. This would also explain my increased fatigue, and why I sleep better/have more energy after I allow myself the occasional unhealthy night of pizza or burgers.
