Hi Dekkos, I just wanted to drop you a quick note with some words of encouragement for you.
Your meal plan looks both really balanced and healthy and absolutely yummy! I think from memory from your other posts that you are aiming for more than 2500 calories a day anyway???
Also - I know you are trying to bulk up more in terms of muscle so it is important to view all this as FUEL FOR YOUR BODY and think about how your body needs this to a) initally get itself to a balanced and healthy point and then b) build the muscle you so desire!!!
I know portion sizes can be a bit overwhelming but what you are eating is super healthy so even if you feel quite full from just the volume of it - it is all so healthy that you need not worry. I do find it really useful to remember the 'food is essential fuel' thing and just recite this to myself if I feel panicked or down after I have eaten.
Hope this helps - my thoughts are with you!
Thank you for those encouraging works erin. <3.
I really needed that. ahh.
Today's gym workout alsso calmed me down abit.
But that 2 WHOLE cups of cooked oatmeal isn't gonna get outta my head for awhile owell i can't go back in time to change it so just move on...
Thank you.
Don't feel bad. If it helps any, I ate 3500 today -- 1000 more -- and my only exercise was a couple short walks.
I eat oatmeal for breakfast and dessert on lots of days. It's good for you!!!
Opeth- Yes that makes me feel way better than you =]
Coco- Yes i know oatmeal is healthy for you but i felt horrible eating 2 whole cups of it . I usually only have 1 cup .
wow, you are doing such a good job. As a fellow recoverer, i know about the whole fear issue especially since im about 3 pounds from my goal weight. But your meal plan is so great and healthy. I wish mine looked like that since i have a sweet tooth and cant really resist ice cream or muffins or pudding. ive relapsed so many times and the only thing it does is makes this whole thing worse. Think about it... you may lose or maintain your current weight but then youre gonna have to be in recovery even longer. Youll be further away from mental and physical health. I wish we were healthy!! good luck
please dont feel bad , i know its easier said than done, your body really needs it. oatmeal is so healthy , opeth is right you are still not eating that much, its not like you are eating a load of fast greasy food. the only thing you can do is to battle those thoughts, it will get easier , but it take time. keep pushing forward and dont give up you can do it dekko h xxx
It looks like a perfectly normal amount of food for a teenage boy to me. Nothing wrong there. If you wanted to eat 2 cups of oatmeal for breakfast every day, that would be fine. Food is medicine for you right now.
Keep on working to add more of those good fats to your diet too.
Dekkos, as a male, you should be eating a 3,000 minimum. The fact that you also work out means you should be eating closer to 3500.
There is nothing wrong with having a double serving of oatmeal - I used to do that all the time (haven't had oatmeal lately, too warm) AND I would cook it in a protein shake and top it with sliced banana, 1/4 each cup dried fruit, trail mix, handful of almonds and PB. And have cottage cheese with PB or granola and a glass of juice on the side.
That was ONE meal. 1000-1200 calories, as a sedentary female and I needed 3600-4000 to gain 1-1.5 lbs a week. Even now, gaining at a slower pace, I eat as much or more than 2500. You are NOT eating too much and in fact are not really eating enough. 3,000 minimum kid. I'm sorry if I come across as ****, but you need the reality check right now.
Excuse me!who are you and how dare you, ive never seen you on this forum before. You have no right to say that to anyone. No matter if they are trying to gain weight or not.Get yourself together.
dEkkos: Your eating very healthy food, not too much, maybe try getting in the same amount but in different ways if youre feeling uncomfortable. Like having a sausage sandwich for breakfast with an egg?or add more calories in healthy ways, that way youll feel less full, and still be getting enough, hummus, olive oil, it all adds up. Its working for me, and my skin is glowing!x

oh my gosh, I completely agree with drivenlass
please, would you act a bit more maturely, or get off this forum
we don't need people like you here
how could you even say that to someone?!
and dekkos, I think that you're doing well, and don't worry about the oatmeal [and its healthy for you]. There is nothing wrong with the amount that you're eating, in fact you should probably try eating a little more
you could try adding more foods like olive oil, nuts & seeds to get in more good fats, but otherwise keep up the good work!
Ignore that person guys, its just some immature brat trying to wind us all up. Dekkos your meal plan looks good :-), dont worry about eating 2 goes of oatmeal, thats completely normal.
If your feeling a bit to full at meal times then try adding in more calorie dense foods. Well done though, you've worked really hard to get to where you are.
Thank you guys alot.
I dont know what that neko person said but it seemed to have offfended everyone. But yeah neko if your not going to be positive please leave.
Keep up the great work! In a week's time, you've made unbelivable progress!! I'm truly impressed!
I know it can seem weird eating such large portions sometimes, but like the others said, oatmeal is definitely one of the healthiest foods out there. You really can't go wrong with it.
