go to the doctor.
it could be something serious. you dont get blurry vision from a cold etc.

Eat a glucose bar everytime you get dizzy and at night try to get a good, long, uninterupted sleep - 10 to 12 hours kind of sleep in a dark quiet room. You sound both hypoglicemic and exhausted . My vision always gets blurry if I'm very tired or I skipped a night.
If it doesn't go away call your doctor and tell him about the simptoms.

thanks... i am hypoglycemic, and it didn't even register that that could be the problem. I was really out of it. unfortunately, the long night sleep will have to wait till friday night, but at least i can eat something more often (although its hard to when your so nautious).
do you have a glucose tester?
you could be developing diabetes. my dad letting it go got him in the ER. screwed up blood sugar can shut down your organs.
go to the doc and see if you have to watch that a little bit more or need medication.

Go see a doctor...if you don't have insurance, there are clinics like planned parenthood that can provide you with financial assistance.
I have seen my doctor... but he's terrible. He basically said, "yes, your blood sugar was probably low. if you feel like you are going to vomit and pass out again, eat something." does anyone else find that illogical?
Curses: what is a glucose tester and where could I get one? do they need to be prescribed? Because this has happened several times since and I would hate for it to happen when I'm driving or something . . .

No, it's not. low blood sugar makes you feel sluggish, nauseated, and gives you blurry vision. Personally I tend to completely angry as well. I always have a banana with me.
Try eating some salted crackers or some bananas next time it happens. DO NOT eat candy or chocolate in that moment, it will make you a lot better instantly, but then the sugar level plummets and you'll feel even worse.

Also, as well as keeping an eye on your blood sugar (especially since you state you are hypoglycemic), you should also make sure you are getting enough water, especially in the heat and humidity of the summertime. Your body loses a lot of water/fluids during this season from sweating and exertion and when your body gets low, you can feel dizzy, nauseous, stomach-ache, tired ... think you get the idea. juma: sorry, i was unclear... i realize it makes medical sense to eat when you have those symptoms, but ever tried to eat when you are about to throw up? not really a good plan, especially when you aren't close to a bathroom.
Willow: thanks for the links! dehyration is another thing you tend to forget about in sunch circumstances.

no. you can buy it at the pharmacy. ask the guy at the pill counter.
they may keep them behind the counter. i think they are a little expensive. i forget how much my fathers was...i know he always complains about the cost of the testing strips though. lol
