i feel sooo bad. can someone help?
i binged on a load of nuts and i just realized that they are sooo high in calories. i just grabbed them by the handful... maybe it was a cup, but they were covered in sugar too. ugh you have no idea how bad it feels. i purged also, but my lunch actually came up - not the nuts! i actually quit purging for awhile, but it started all over again. what do i do? i feel like i can't live with myself anymore!! i have no motivation to exercise... because i don't know how long it will take to undo the damage.

Do not worry about it and move on, as long as u been having a healthy deficit for the week it will be gone by the end of the week. Besides, peanuts, are nothing I once ate an ENTIRE DEEP FRIED platter of seafood that was supposed to serve 10, we are talking Fish, stuffed crab, fries, a buttload of buttered and toasted bread, shrimp, and a whole pint of tartar and cocktail sauces! Afterwards I felt kinda bad, but hey, it was Bloody satisfying. And i just did my excersises like any other day. And i felt good afterwards, despite the fact that my heart was prolly on the verge of death. =)
So yeah, just move on and look at the bright-side now you know, and at least you didnt find out after eating an entire 4lb bag.
Hope this helps you.

Hello... you purged... that's not healthy. At all. It's called an eating disorder for a reason.
Please stop purging before you do irreversible damage to your body.

I usually tell someone who has justed binged to start fresh tomorrow, and try not beat themselves up over it. I suffer from BED and I know letting go of the guilt will help you get back on track. But in your case.....purging is extremely dangerous and it sounds to me like you can not handle this on your own. My advice...call your doctor....or talk to your parents(not sure how old you are) and have them make an appointment for you. Take care hun.
When I binge, yeah I totally regret it but I don't continue. Just watch what you eat the rest of the day and go from there.
What is done is done. So you binged. Enjoyed it. Satisfied? Move on. Tomorrow is a new day. No point of puking it all out once you eat them.
I know exactly how you feel. Nut are one of those things that can seem very bad because you eat them without thinking, like potato chips. But remember that the fat they have is GOOD fat that your body needs.
When I eat things I souldn't I too get that guilty sick feeling but you need to control the urge to purge. Give yourself permission for mess up once in a while.
Sure you have motivation to exercise, you want to lose weight, that is great motivation. Do something, anything that makes you move, I love to shop so I go to the mall and walk around all the different stores, I don't buy anything but I end up walking a mile or so.
Be kind to yourself, you are the best you we have on this wonderful world!

I know stopping a purge is easier said than done. You need professional help... Nothing anyone here says is likely to stop a bingeing and purging cycle.
Drink ALOT of water. You may still feel guilty about the nuts but at least your body will feel better. Purging can also dehydrate the body
Let a good friend know about your purging habits, then she can tell you not to, and you will have someone else helping to control that. I had a bulimic friend who recovered through doing this. And hey, look at it this way... you still get vitamins from nuts, its not like eating a king sized bag of chips with french onion dip which is basically empty calories ;) Good luck.
it is easy to get into the habit of purging. but purging sounds so pretty... it really is forcing yourself to vomit and empty your stomach. but it will not fix anything. it's as good as picking up cigarettes to curb your appetite - the effects are worse than overeating. focus on being healthy, not skinny.
Instead of purging, do a quick estimate of the calories and do some exercise that is equal to at least half that either the same day or the next day and the day after. You'll still get the nutrition from the nuts, even sugared nuts are not all that bad, and you'll train yourself in a new habit that is healthier.
FYI, even if you ate more sugared nuts than you can think of I don't think you could have eaten enough to equal a pound. 3500 calories is a lot of anything!
