Feeling of fatigue, post from my journal.

Quote  |  Reply

Today and yesterday i just feel so weak and lethargic. Like it takes effort to get up, im hungry, i cant hold my arm up longer than 5 seconds without dropping it out of exhaustion. Im sooooo hungry. Im never eating that many calories for that long of a time again. (ate like 3500+ for 4 days) Im like over here dying at 2200 cals. ridiculous. 11 days until i start my period, though i dont think i get extra hungry this early.

But dang why do i feel fatigued? I feel like i just worked out hardcore for 2 hours or something, when i havnt even worked out since monday. Its now wednesday. I skipped yesterday for the same reason. Felt like utter crap.

What is this? Is my body being shocked for the intake being dropped by half? O_O

Perhaps you're not getting your 2200 calories from the right foods... do you eat healthily?

Check back through your food logs to see what percentage of vitamins etc you're getting. Might help.

Other than that; I recommend drinking lots of water. Also inactivity can lead to feeling like this. FORCE yourself to go for a 15-20 min walk in the fresh air, should make you feel better in my experience.

Maybe you're getting the flu.

Well, i eat mostly fruit, dairy, and whole grains, i usually dont feel like this, only the past 2 days. and i take a multivitamin.

Im eating carrots at the moment, so i know my general diet is healthy, maybe im feeling like this from the tuesday-saturday *food days*.

I drink like 112 fl.oz of water per day, and i usually workout most of the days in the week.

So those are ruled out.

I dont know what it could be. I might make myself go to the gym, if i even have the energy change into my workout clothes X_X

Whaaaat I certainly hope its not the flu :X  :O

Whenever I eat way more than I should, or if I eat stuff that's really bad for me (like anything fried or super fatty), I'll feel exhausted after awhile.  My guess is it's just from your days of eating more than normal.  Get back on track, back to the gym, and make sure to get PLENTY of water.  My guess is you'll feel fine in no time! :)

I think you're right.

Oh god...i know what it is.

Its a sugar crash.

I spent last tuesday, wednesday, (not thursday, i was good that day) friday, and saturday gorging myself on lovely swiss and german chocolate.

Shouldnt i have noticed this crash on sunday or monday? I didnt start feeling like this til yesterday.

Edit: and could i be feeling constant hunger because im eating less now again?

Everyone's bodies react differently.  When I go on days long binges like that, it'll take me a couple days until I'm feeling sluggish.  But when I've been eating really well, it will take me less than an HOUR!!  Saturday, I went out to lunch and had really bad food.  By the time I got back to my mom's house, I was exhausted, and ended up passing out on the couch maybe a half hour later.

I think it also depends on what KIND of food it is.  Salty versus sweet versus fried, etc.  If I have a dinner that's just overly salty, I'll feel it the next morning or the day after.  Fried, I feel right away (that was Saturday for me).  I haven't had much in terms of super sweet stuff, so we'll see. :)  I'm sure it's bound to happen, the holidays are coming up!

This could very well be the case.  If you were used to eating large amounts of food and cut way back, your stomach has shrunk.  Vice versa, if you've lately been eating smaller amounts and have 4 - 5 days where you're eating more than normal, I could see this as enough time to stretch out your stomach again.  Try stretching out your meals (if you don't already).  This has helped me a lot with controlling how MUCH I eat.  I eat smaller meals and eat them slowly.  And I'm rarely hungry now, or at least not in that "Oh god I need something now, I'm starving!" way.

Thank you, i just cracked, i had to eat something because i feel like a concentration camp survivor. I think i should taper down back to 2200 instead of jumping back down, i cannot handle the hunger X_X

By all means, if you're hungry, eat!!  And if you have to work your way down slowly, do it!  Whatever it takes so that you get back on track in the healthiest way possible!  Another tip: fiber.  Oh, how I love fiber-rich foods.  They help fill you up!  :)

Daily Fiber Intake - 51 grams

Wink

I think i'll drag my pathetic dedicated arse up to the gym in an hour.

For an other attempt at weightloss, that i probably wont see results from.

Yaaaaay.

How tall are you? You look skinny in your photo.

After you get back from the gym, I'm sure you're going to feel a world better!  If not, just give it another day or two. :)

I just read your profile, and wow!  You're doing very very well!!  Congrats on the weight lost so far, you're looking fantastic!

Thank you! Although i heard that i lost that weight likely by starving myself unknowingly..and that i should have been losing more, but i was eating too little compared to my energy output. lol

I did get back from the gym after burning about 700 cals and i deffinately dont feel fatigued anymore, but i sure do still feel hungry! xD
