I lost 12 pounds in a month. I only weigh myself when i go to the doctors so that was about a month ago. I am starting to wear my tight shirts again instead of the mens that only fit me. I went to the movie theatre and i felt good. I could actually sit without having to worry about my 'rolls'.  I am currently 228 at last weigh in. My goal is somehwhere in the 150 range. I know its a long way, but i cant wait till i get there!

Girl, congratulations on how you avoided the popcorn, twizzlers, gummy bears, ect. Me, I would have just got a diet coke..lol.

terraskye you are so right!  a small popcorn with NO butter on it is almost 600 calories!  so it's best to smuggle in your own healthy snacks...or just get the diet coke :)

Wow, thanks for info ladies. I went to movies and I have a small popcorn and diet coke and thought I was good.  I have to change that again.  Smuggling my own health snack is what I will considered.  Why dont they come up with healthy snacks at the movies. Jae

I weighed in this morning and i still have not lost a lb.  Maybe I need to increase my exercise any suggestions.   Jae

Healthy snacks don't sell at the movies. I worked at a theater for a long time and we offered plain white, air popped popcorn with low fat oil, and no one bought it. We also tried having smaller portions, and no one bought those either. They just put out what sells because theaters don't make very much money off of ticket sales. Almost all of their income comes from concession sales. A lot of theaters have their nutrition information available (or at least a good estimate). As for the exercise: Jazzercise is an awesome workout! It's also an amazing stress relief, and they have so many options so whatever your fitness level or flexibility is, you can probably do it, and if not they can show you other options that you can do to get the workout you need. I just hit my 60 pound goal, and I don't think I would have done it this early without Jazzercise.

Anyway, I always get popcorn when I go to the movies. It's an outing, and I think it's okay to treat yourself every once in a while. Once a week I took a day off from my diet. It kept cravings down, and honestly since I've learned to control my portion sizes, I can't even eat a small popcorn and don't really know how I ever did before. My husband and I got a small popcorn yesterday, and the two of us only ate half of it. When I go alone, I usually just get a kid pack. I just have to learn my body. Just because you get the small popcorn or the non-diet soda, or the big bag of candy, you don't have to eat it all. I try to apply that to all of my food/snacking.

congrats!!! i know how you feel about feeling better! ive lost 13 lbs in just over a month and while they dont fit that differently, i just feel better wearing the cuter clothes that until now i was avoiding like the plague!!

100 calorie pack popcorn tastes GREAT! especially the kettle corn one. i would definitely sneak it in - even if it's not hot!

I just do Tae-Bo about 2-3 times a week. You don't even feel like your exercising!


Which Tae-Bo video do you recommend? I know there are several out there...

For 30$ I bought the AMPED set at Best Buy. It brings a stick which weighs 3 pounds. It also brings 4 tapes with one having 2 workouts. It also brings a guide for healthy weight loss and includes a schedule and recipes. I would recommend this one. You can but different ones. There is one with 2 hand weights and another with resistance bands.
