Feeling overtired, lightheaded, and even a bit dizzy lately.
Well, over the last 2-3 weeks I have been progressively getting worse. First it started with mild fatigue and now I'm lightheaded and dizzy all the time and also thirsty about 24/7. I go through about 10+ glasses of water a day due to my thirst.
I was eating 1500-1800 calories a day and midly exercising with walking and once in a while an exercise video or something like that and eating really well. After I started feeling tired all of the time, I started eating maintenance and have been for the last 2 or so weeks. I'm eating vegetables with both lunch and dinner and everything else I'm eating is incredibly healthy as well.
I am also feeling a bit nauseated. I'm on the depo shot, but I got freaked out and took pregnancy tests and I'm not pregnant.
I'm not really sure what to do. I'm going to be making an appointment with my doctor when I figure out where she moved to (I know she's still in San Diego- just can't figure out where), but in the meantime, any information would be really nice.
Also, even though I've been eating maintenance I've managed to gain about 2 pounds in the last 2-3 weeks from eating maintenance. When I was dieting stricter since June, I always ate around 1500-1800 calories, no less and hardly often more. I never underate and I never overexercised.
I'm fretting work tonight because it seems that every time I try to do a simple task, including just unloading the dishwasher (just did that actually), I get lightheaded. I'm used to only drinking 7-8 or so big (biiiig) glasses of water a day and now I'm drinking at least 10, sometimes more, a day and I still don't feel good enough =/
Help!
Hey lady - happened to see your topic in the sidebar, and although I normally don't post in this particular forum, I wanted to mention that the thirst and other symptoms can be indicative of diabetes. Not saying you have diabetes, just that you should probably get checked out. I'd step up the efforts to locate your doctor - perhaps call Information and see if she has a new telephone number?
Thanks, purespark.. I was looking some of my symptoms up online and I did see diabetes and it is pretty scary.
That's a good idea- I'll give 411 a ring :)
It could also be a virus, or a dozen other things, as I'm sure you are aware.
But definitely should be checked out. Dizziness and lightheadedness are serious because of the danger of falling. If you can't find your normal doctor today, I would go to a clinic tomorrow.

That's true. I work at McDonald's and I need my hours for tonight since I'm only working one day a week now, so I'm just going to have to ask to stand on drive thru the whole time.. eek.
I am so sorry you have to work tonight and I do hope you can find some way to keep yourself comfortable and safe. I'd really suggest strongly a visit to a clinic or some sort as soon as you complete your shift if not (really ideally) before.
I know the shift is important but there are symptoms to attend to at your earliest convenience and your symptoms really need attention immediately.
I have regretted my past decisions to put work above my health and so I am hoping to help you avoid that kind of regret.
I am hoping you can call upon a colleague to cover and a friend or family member to help out if finances are at issue too. It is one of the those times to do that.
I ended up going to work today and was fine because I was on drive-thru the whole time and drank 7 glasses of water just at work alone and ended up having to work an hour longer than usual. I'm doing okay though..
I don't know about thirst, but tiredness and dizziness could mean you are anaemic. Is it possible you're low on iron?
I was also thirsty when I was anaemic, but I can't think of any logic which relates the two, so perhaps they're totally unconnected.
Do you know what your blood sugar level is and also your blood pressure?
I'm relieved you are o.k. -- I logged on as soon as I could find time just to make sure you were still in one piece -- you heading to a doctor today? My thoughts are with you.
