Feeling very Nauseous When Working Out???
I am a 24 year old, 122 lb female , and as far I know Im in normal health. I have been working out consistently for 6 years now. Latley when I run, or do the elliptical or just plain exert myself, I start to feel very Nauseous like I am going to throw up. I am not working out any harder than I normally do, and I only go for 30 minutes each time, maybe 45 minutes. I know its not a hydration issue because I am practically a camel. Its just weird because I have never experienced this before in 6 years of being active. Its really starting to slow me down. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Thanks in advance!
Is there any chance you are pregnant? That might be why. Another thing I can think of: did you change your eating habits recently? If you don't think it is either of these, then a sudden change like this is something to take to your doctor, I would think. Maybe you are anemic now or something else. But if you have 6 years of experience, and you know something is different, getting professional advice is a good idea.
Good luck and let us know how you do.
Thank you for the reply. I have no had any changes in my eating habbits. There is a chance that I am pregnant, but I have to wait until Saturday to take a test. I took one today but the Gyno said it would be too early, it was negative. If it were pregnancy, would the fact that It was making me feel sick mean that there should be enough Hormone in my blood to show up on a test?
Thanks again for the response, I really appreciate it!
This happened to my husband, he is a marathion runner and it was really messing with him. The doctor told him to take an antiacid before he runs so now he takes pepcid and it has worked wonders for him. Good Luck
I will have to try that! Thank you!
I've felt nauseated from really strenuous workouts from time to time without any chance of pregnancy, but it clears up very quickly. It's possible that there's a change in your eating habits or your body chemistry that is causing this, but seeing your doctor would be a really good idea.
are you taking in too much fiber or protein before your workout? sometimes when i take in too much of either within an hour of my workout, i feel sick. also, you might not be eating enough, because low blood sugar levels can make you feel really nauseated. try eating some peanut butter on some toast or a protein bar an hour before you work out (trust me, it really helps).
