Ok  I fell of my diet completly when I got sick and now its hard for me to get back on the right track. I started dieting when in January, weighed 173lbs and went down to 158, I know weigh bout 160 if not more (im to scared to check the scale, lol). I have like absolutly no time I wake up 6am to get ready for school and get home around 10pm because I work right after school and this is mon-fr and on sat 11 to 4 but i spend most of the time with my daughter bc I hardly see her with work and school. Its like Im not motivated and I dont know what to exactly do it seems that everytime I do something or the way I work my diet is the wrong way  or I should be doing it another way. I dont get it. Im  lost on how many cals I should be taking in what type pf workout s I should be doing. Im also really restricted on things as well. Like working out I cant go to the gym, my dvd player broke, I hardly have time to go out and buy like weights or anything.arg  ugh. Any home workouts like little simple things ? any motivation?

Hey, so I'm an exercise science major at Central Washington University and this is my advice:

1. Have a quick little morning routine that can progress as time goes by. It can take as little as 10-15 minutes in the morning before you shower. Do you have any dumbbells? If not, larger canned foods work.
Start with some bicep curls. Do some tricep/chair lifts. Do some crunchies, some pushups (maybe you start with 2 kneeling push-ups and in three months can do 20 military style). Practice bridge poses for your butt and thighs.

All this in only 15 minutes will help tone you, burn maybe 100 calories depending on your intensity that morning, and REALLY BOOST YOUR METABOLISM!

2. 80% of weightloss can usually be contributed to NUTRITION. Watching not only calories, but grams of fat and saturated fat, is really important. That's why this website is an awesome tool.

You don't need a lot of time to lose weight. As long as goals are realistic, you'll be just fine.

GOOD LUCK!

I have fell off the wagon many times!!!!  I just keep jumping right back on.  Sometimes I will simply march or jog in place during every commercial during my fav shows or even dance around like a freak, especially if I had an off day with my diet.  Every little bit helps.  Try doing sit-ups, pushups, and squats.  Its a good start to only use your bodyweight anyway.  Check out bodybuilding.com and stumptuous.com.  They have a lot of ideas on workouts.  Especially the second one.  There is a section on there of getting a good workout at home with out any weights!!!

Its as easy as filling your backpack with books or cans of soup and going for a walk.  You can do it, you will feel so much better.  Don't forget to use all the tools available on this site to help you figure out how much to eat and how much you are burning.  Good luck

thanks guys

Don't feel down, be excited at the new challenge ahead! Do weigh yourself, I know its hard, I kept on putting it off but when I did, it really scared me and motivated me more into losing it. I agree that a short 15 min work out in the morning can really boost your metabolism - brill advice! Other than that carry healthy snacks with you. Fruit doesn't require much preparation so especially good for a busy person. Good luck with everything, and remember that nothing tastes as good as feeling thin feels.

The only workout you need is liftin' your little one up and down during play time.  I would focus solely on diet as your life sounds like it's anything but sedentary.

If you're that adamant on getting a workout in, pending how old your baby is, lie on the floor, hold her over your stomach and rock back and forth.  My youngest nephew loves it, and it can be a pretty good workout.
I absolutely agree with cellulitedelite.  I have four children, my husband and I, and my sister and brother, in a two floor apt.  Usually I'm cleaning, running up and down stairs, laundry (don't get me started on that) so I can honestly say my activity level is light to moderate.  On days where I don't have as much to do I fit in exercise, 20-40 mins on the elliptical.  I already have to concentrate on so much, I love to exercise, but my schedule is so busy.  If I do not have time to sit and watch TV, I will not find the time to exercise.  Also I find that just getting in 20 minutes after the kiddies go to bed has sufficed so far.  I would like to do more, I just have to make it possible.
