fellow asians! Asian diet?

It's hard to live in Asia and include little carbs in diet. What with rice as the staple diet and stuff. Does anyone have good suggestions on what i can substitute rice and noodles with?

why cant you just eat them in small amounts? add extra vegetables and beans, nuts and seeds to the dinner plate to help compensate and of course alittle protien - fish, lean meat, vagetarian options as well

Google mederterasian diet
But nightshade is right - just eatgood portions.
Asian diets dont typically have many breads, and have more grains than meat. Where are you? look for konyaku noodles and shiratake noodles. 13 cal a serve.
hey runjump,

just out of curiosity, where r u living? I'm living in Asia right now too. Hong Kong. There's so much food everywhere on the streets and very cheap. So hard to diet!!
then tokyo would be the opposite of hong kong. food is not everywhere, and food is expensive, not unless you dont mind beef/pork bowls everyday (at matsuya or yoshinoya). everyday is walk walk walk as well. additionally, almost every street is conducive for exercise since the air is very clean.
