The Fellowship Hall
I would like to try something with the Group.
I would like to create a thread that has the flow of a "Daily Chat" type thread. A thread in which we can come in and talk about anything or nothing in particular.
Just a way to come in and say HEY Y'all without the need to start a new thread topic or to jump in on an ongoing topic.
So here is The Fellowship Hall. A place to meet around the coffee pot and chat about the weather or chat about the neighbor's dog that barked all night.
Grab a cup of coffee and tell me about your day.
OK - Andy is wondering why I haven't done my lesson this week in the Celebrate Recovery. We usually talk about it on Saturday or Sunday and then I post my answer.
I never saw a post on your devotion "Lemonade".
There really isn't much to comment on that particular devotion. I read it, but it didn't hit me like the others did.
Basically, I read the Daily Devotion received via email entitled “Lemonade”. The meaning of the devotion is to take what we have and make the best of it. The devotion talked about the steps it took to make lemonade (not the ready mix). Real, Old Fashion Lemonade is easier if it is made with a squeeze machine.
Life can give us lemons. Life stresses (presses) us. Life squeezes us. Sometimes, this will cause a mess. All we have to do is to hand our lemons over to Jesus Christ. HE can help us make the perfect lemonade out of our lives.
I like it. One stream (or thread as they call it) of info is a little easier to follow and look back on what others have entered.
Hope you all are having a great Saturday! I'm having somewhat of a Lazy Day! I just got back from my daughters driving practice - she has a test on Thursday and needs about 5 more hours of driving time by then.
Oh my. My son is already counting down to when he can drive. He turns 7 tomorrow.
I will be a nervous wreck.
I'm cleaning up from the cookout from Glynn's birthday.
There are hamburgers, hot dogs, fried chicken, cole slaw, potato salad, baked beans, mac & cheese on the table.
Please note: Anything eaten in the Fellowship Hall does not have calories, fats, sugars, or sodium. So eat up!!!!
OK, then I'll having a serving of potato salad, baked beans and fried chicken (a wing and breast please). Thanks for sharing!
It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood! The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, butterflies flying, and I see little bunnies moving in the grass in the backyard. The roses are in full bloom with ever a slight breeze in the trees.
Over the last week and a half I have not done my body good at all. Once my cycle started, my emotions took over, and I sent myself in a tailspin. I am not in control of anyone’s actions or feelings but my own. I need to claim it and let Jesus help me along the way. If I continue like I have been, I will end up bedridden again or even hospitalized and I do not want that ever again!
All the hard work of not having carbonated beverages went out the door. The foods I ate may not have wavered to far from my caloric goals but they were high in fat, sodium, and sugar. Tomorrow, I will start "July" fresh. I will weigh myself, writing in my journal and log my foods. I have only been successful when I do this continually.
Tell me... What is going on in the entertainment world?
- Michael Jackson
- Farrah Fawcett
- Ed McMahon
- Bea Arthur
- Fred Travalena
- David Carradine
And Now Billy Mays. With Natasha Richardson (Liam Neeson's wife) accident, you would have thought that he would have gone to the hospital to be checked out. With a hit on the head, if you start to feel sick and nauseated, you should go have it checked out. Yes, his infomercials were loud and obnoxious. But he was quite comical.

Once you get back on the wagon, I think that I will find seat belts for us both!!! ![]()
Denna! I love this thread! Hope it stays up!!
To be honest I came here fixin' to drop out, then I read what you wrote. I like the idea of a long running thread. Too many threads and I can't keep up with where I wrote what...so I hardly ever reply to who replied, etc. etc. etc....!
I thought the very same thing about Billy Mays, Natasha hit her head....
Norma Jean, I too had a song in my mind when I popped in, 'cept it was "Monday Monday.....so good to me!" remember that song by the Mama's and the Papa's? A good song it was.
So y'all, what's been happening while I've been absent?
For me, I've fallen off the wagon.....and I need help getting back on! If anything please pray that I tap into some self-discipline. (and also to keeping my mouth shut!)

Seems like there is quite a few of us who have "fallen" but are eager to pick ourselves up and move forward. Get those seatbelts ready Denna to help us hold tight!
As Andy and I were taaking this morning - my cutoff is March 23, 2011 - to be up and walking normal. My son will be graduating from college and I will need to be back in the work force.
Regarding the entertainment world: Billy Mays, according to his autopsy, was heart disease. He had no head trauma. He had just signed up for Taco Bell commercials in August.

:: reaching out a hand to grab Maggie ::
:: looking for a seat belt for Maggie also ::
It looks like June has been the month for Wagon Jumpers. I guess that it is time for an old fashioned Round UP.
As far as I am concerned, this thread will continue as long as there is interest. Don't get me wrong, we will still have the Challenges, Bible Studies, and Prayer threads separate from the Fellowship Hall. But this daily chat type thread will stay up as long as someone is feeding it.
