I would like to try something with the Group.

I would like to create a thread that has the flow of a "Daily Chat" type thread.  A thread in which we can come in and talk about anything or nothing in particular.

Just a way to come in and say HEY Y'all without the need to start a new thread topic or to jump in on an ongoing topic.

So here is The Fellowship Hall.  A place to meet around the coffee pot and chat about the weather or chat about the neighbor's dog that barked all night.

Grab a cup of coffee and tell me about your day.

Enjoy your salad - mine will be for dinner with some tuna.

I just ate a caesar salad and for dessert, a nice juicy peach! Twas very good!

Norma Jean, that sounds like a good dinner.
Now that's a first.......thinking a salad AND tuna makes for a good dinner! Not to mention that a salad and a peach is good!  LOL!

Enjoy your salad Norma Jean!

Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Yesterday we celebrated our churches 1st year anniversary.  I was at the church on Saturday evening and everything was working great.  It always has been, however, yesterday the sound system did not work for the microphones, the music system stopped working for the music, the speakers stopped working...

but we went on anyway, we sang, prayed and the visiting pastor had to speak louder.

I will praise the Lord at all times,  His praise shall continually be in my mouth.  Psalm 34:1

Amen!  Thanks for sharing the scripture.  Even this morning I was just saying to my husband that Satan was having a grand 'ol time in many families.

"Be self-controlled and alert.  Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour."  I Peter 5:8

Rather than becoming prey for this roaring enemy we must be ALERT and PRAY.

I Peter 4:7 (MSG) - "Everything in the world is about to be wrapped up, so take nothing for granted. Stay wide-awake in prayer."

Mark ~ Satan couldn't steal your joy though could he?! Hahaha.....try as he might.....
He's like a pesky nat! Just gotta swat him away!

Amen Norma Jean!

~Maggie

Absolutely not.  I recognize the source, and he is doing exactly what he is suppose to be doing.

But there is a song that says, "this joy I have, the world didn't give it and the world can't take it away."

And besides that my God is bigger than anything the enemy can throw this way.

He did not bring me this far to leave me.

Mark

You know what I just love about your story Mark? That no matter what satan did to upset and discourage you all.....y'all just went ahead and had praise and worship and heard the Word! Ha! Take that devil! That's what I'm talking about!!

~Maggie

My plan for today is to log everything that I eat and stay within my caloric allotment. Oh, and not to eat past 8:00!! These last couple of days I haven't been doing good in these areas! Can't allow myself to slip back into the bad habits!!! Nope, can't have none of that!

~Maggie

Woke up this morning and my feet are hurting pretty bad.  Swollen.  Not going to be sitting much today - need to keep the feet elevated.  Have a good day everyone!

Take care my friend.

Also watch your sodium and make sure that you get plenty water.

Good Morning Maggie and Norma

Just a verse that  would encourage you both today Romans 8:37 "In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us"

There is nothing that comes our way that through the power of God we cannot overcome.  And when it does not work out the way "we" want

Jesus said My grace is sufficient.

Hallelujah!!!

Mark

Gods grace......Thank You God for Your Grace!

What the devil meant for bad....God turned into good! We are conquerors through Christ Mark. Thank you for the word!

Norma Jean, ditto on what Denna said! I hope your feet get back to normal soon.

~Maggie

Has anyone heard from Norma Jean?

How is she feeling this evening?  I know that she was having trouble with her feet and legs this morning.

I am still alive and kicking - I accidentally kicked my table and now my left toes have a "booboo".

Been trying to rest all day - feet still swollen - forgot to take the wqter pill and it is way too late in the day to take it. Have to wait until tomorrow.

Have a good evening everyone, thanks for asking Denna!

See you tomorrow Norma Jean!

Well, today is coming to a close. I have to say I did pretty good at keeping my goal today. I haven't eaten since dinner (but I sure feel like it!) so I think I should just go to bed!

Good night all you Princess's and Prince's!

~Maggie

I woke up this morning with my mind, stayed on Jesus.

Good morning to some and good night to others.  When you think about the many struggles you had today remember this

Ps 124:1 If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say; 2 If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us: 3 Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us: 4 Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul: 5 Then the proud waters had gone over our soul. 6 Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth. 7 Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped. 8 Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.

Our help is in the name of the Lord, so the problems you have overcome today, thank God for being by our side.

Mark

Good morning Mark and anyone else who's up. Laughing

This is the day the Lord has made! Let us rejoice and be glad in it!
And let us praise our Lord by remembering all that He has done for us in the past and what He's doing for us right now.
This is a good day, so let's rejoice!

~Maggie

Thank you Lord for the refining process.  Psalm 23 needs to be repeated here too!

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want

He makes me to lie down in green pastures

He leads beside the still waters

He restores my soul

He leads me in paths of righteousness for His names sake

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me

Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies,  Thou annointeth my head with oil

My cup runneth over

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life

And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever

Reading the 23rd Psalm makes us mindful of the fact God does not give us a spirit of fear, but of love power and a sound mind.

Acts 1:8 and I am paraphrasing states that we shall receive power after the Holy Ghost comes upon us and we shall be witnesses.

What does a witness do?  Testifies on behalf of what One has done and done for us.  Therefore once we experience the goodness of God, (Oh taste and see that the Lord is good; not just good but gooooooooooood) we can testify of His wonder working power through experiences in our own life.

Goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.  Thank You Lord.

Amen Mark!

If we can focus, realize and know that you know that you know the love God has for us, why would we be anxious for anything or fear anything?

There's nothing, not one thing that God cannot do on our behalf!

You said it right....."Oh taste and see that the Lord is good; not just good but gooooooooood!"
