I am somewhat in the same boat. I am 5'7 194lbs. I need to lose 50 pounds to be in my normal weight range. I need all the support I can get! I live with my boyfriend who has never had to diet a day in his life, so when Im eating salad and he is eating fries, well you see my issue. I am going to try to be as active as possible each day and weigh in once a week. What do you think?

What day wroks for you guys to weigh in?  Tuesdays?  Mondays?

Mondays are best I think because it is really easy to fall off the wagon over the weekend, but if we know we have to weigh in on Monday maybe we will be better??? :)

Hey guys! I'm 5'8" and just weighed in today at 208, I would love to join this group. I want to lose another 58 lbs. (my goal is 150). I have a hard time talking to my friends about my weight loss goal (they all do the whole 'oh, why? you look so good now!' routine), so it would be great to have some weight loss buddies!

Since I already weighed today, Mondays would be good for me.. or really any other day.

Hey guys, I am 5'9 weigh 243 and would like to get down to 160 ish

I have PCOS, which makes it very hard for me to lose weight, but so far so good!! Was 278 would love to join this group

I haven't joined any groups yet, so I'm not sure how this works, but here goes :)

5'6", 208#.  Trying to reach 185 by the end of July, and long term goal of 150# (can't even imagine weighing that little yet, so I'm going to try for 185 since I still remember what THAT looks like :)).

I just switched to weekly weigh-ins - the daily stuff was making me a little crazy.  Mondays are good, as I was going to do Sunday mornings, so what's a day difference there? :)

Okay its monday!!!!!! When I originally signed up here I though I was 186 but I bought a working scale and well Im 194.2 :P So, that is what Im starting off with this week. My daily mantra is "Today I will be as healthy and active as possible" I like to take it day by day :)

Sounds good :)  I'm not having such a great day today - drank too much yesterday (2 whole beers, ha, can you tell I'm not normally a drinker?) and didn't feel well enough to get up this morning and walk :/  It's not been a great day for me... but I'm consoling myself with the thought that I can only do better tomorrow :)

5' 9.5" here (gotta rep that extra half inch!) and 199. Started out at 215 on CC, so I'm down 16 lbs, but still looking to lose at least another 30.

5'10 - 205 lbs here :) lookin to lose about 60 lbs by the end of the year - Im new here and I'd love to join a group to help with motivation :)

It's nice to others with similar goals!  I think it would be great to do a weekly weigh in. I see Monday's work best for quite a few people so let's do it then. I've been going to the gym for 1 1/2 hours Monday-Friday but haven't seen any results as of yet! Grrrr.  I'm hoping that hearing the success of others will keep me motivated!

Don't get too frustrated! My mom recently joined a strength training class at the YMCA four days a week.. really intense workouts... and she only lost one pound in the first eight weeks! But she stuck with it and now its just dropping off. Sometimes it takes our bodies a little time to get used to working so hard!

Good Luck!

I am almost exactly in the same spot.  I am 5'10" and 210 as of this morning.  My profile pic was my starting weight of 250 almost 4 years ago.  I am down 40 but still have about 50 left to go.  I would love to use this as a support group to help me meet my goals.  So, Monday is the weigh in?

Great lets do a weigh in on mondays.  This monday here are my stats :)

Starting weight : 259

Current weight : 229

Weight loss this week : 0 (first wiegh in!)

goal weight 160

I'm a bit shorter then you all 5'4" I am starting out at 190 lbs and really need to find some motivation to get myself down to 140 lbs (never saw that number before). Can I join yahs?

Julie_22 you are in my boat!!! I have a couple of inches on you, but I also got a couple of pounds on you :p  Im the heaviest I have ever been in my life with a closet full of clothes that dont fit me, and with all the baggy tops that are in fashion I get asked almost once a day if Im pregnant :(  but you know what Im here you all are here and well every little bit helps!

I have been at this for a year and have had a few set backs, but am working hard to stay on track. I haven't joined a group, but I think it would be good, because doing it on your own you tend to be your own worst enemy.

I am 5'6.5" at 206. I have lost 69 pounds according to today's weigh in. I hope to be at at least 150 by the end of October. My final weight goal is 120-125 by the new year.
Thank you!  I think I am just to the point where I can't do this on my own anymore, I lose 10 or 15 lbs and I always gain it all back.  I don't have anyone around me that sturggles like I do and no one to keep me motivated.  I think this is just what I need.

I love exercising but find it hard to find the time I am a full time student school from 7:30am to 4:30 or 5 pm and then 6 hours of homework.  It is tough but I think I can do it.
