Female, 5'10", 220 lbs. Looking to lose 70 lbs! Anyone with similar stats?

So I set my goal date to something I can't back out of, college graduation December 13, so as long as I lose 2.5 pounds a week, I'm good.  I have a tendency to keep pushing back that goal date which was orginially my b-day in September, but no more because after grad I have to take a physical fitness test, so no more excuses. Any who, just thought I'd share.

Congrats to all this week, keep up the good work.

Monday weigh in results: - not too bad. Congrats to all on another week of hard work.

SW on March 3rd was 212.5

Weight last Monday 4/14/08 = 195

Today CW: 193.5

Total pounds lost =19

Pounds lost this week = 1.5

First goal = lose 45 pounds total by Oct. 1st

Not too good of a week.  Must be the monthly friend coming up sooner than expected :(  I always gain water weight.

Hello ladies! Just weighing in today. WAs 194.8 but as of today I am 191.8 makes for a 3 pound loss this week. I fell off the wagon on Thursday, but I was able to just get back up and get back on. I am working out alot so far this week and hope to have the same if not better results next week.

Hey there got2getthin, we're almost identical. I'm 5'11" and 232. I'd like to get to 170-180 or so. I don't know what I'll look like at that point, but I'll stop when I feel like I am where I need to be.  Drop me a line and we can keep each other motivated!!

Hi Naz,  Noticed our stats are pretty close too.  I'm 5'11" and 228.  I'd like to get down to 160, but as you said, I'll see what I feel like as some of this weight comes off.  Feel free to email me.  Expanding my motivation circle would be great.

Are we posting tomorrow? I don't know how I've done this week. Maybe a pound. I'll give it one more day and then post. Does anyone have any before/after/in progress pics they want to share? I might add a new pic to my profile . . .I'm debating.

Looks like I've slowed to about a pound a week. I'd like to kick that up just a little if I could. I know I've got to get out and exercise more. So - my goal for this week is to get some exercise at least 4 times by next Monday.

If anyone has access to a body fat monitor I think it would be great to track body fat % as well. I'm trying to focus on that more than on what the scale says.

Got2 - I don't have a BF monitor, so can't join you on that one.

justamom- Do you belong to a gym? That's where I use the BFM.  I've also done some checking and you can buy one for around 25.00 on EBay.  It's the Omron HBF-306.  The nice thing is that in addition to BF%, it gives you your BF lbs as well! Very helpful and highly recommended!

Well, it looks like I got back to juts below where I was two weeks ago.  I was up two pound last week and now lost those plus one.  However, expecting my monthly friend any day and I only worked out 2x this week, so I know I can do better this week.  Been fighting a little cold, but feeling like it might be starting to go away.  I'm going to really focus on my workouts and what I'm eating this week.

I'm down 4 lbs.  I weighed myself yesterday and I was 236 but this morning I weighed in at 235. I have been eating right and going to the gym regularly. I did 60 minutes on the Elliptical machine programed on interval training for more calorie burning. I feel great.

Starting weight after birth of baby 3/5/07 - 225lbs

Found this website and started here first of the year at 190lbs

and have reached 175lbs.

oh I'm 5-9

 

I have knocked off sugar - and increased the fruits and veggies.  Seems to be working.

I'm sort of new to this whole thing. I'm really interested in losing weight (I'm 5'10", 205 lbs. and my goal weight is 160 lbs.). Is this reasonable? What would you suggest is the best way and how do you stay on track??
